Worked out how to get to the Silver Serpent. The clue is Moon - Sun - Sky, so you go through the silver portal, the gold one then the blue sapphire. I also checked as many of the VoT texts as I could - the story seems fairly explicit, and the Silver Serpent text gives exact locations to all of the hidden places - as does looking at the map on the wall of the Sun Temple, to the hidden treasure place.

So, meh.

Is there a completed list our there for ears?

I have one, 74 in total (6 added in 2018)

So in 2018, apart from VoT, and all of cat's unimplemented quests, and orc's desert needing a revamp (which is on cards), are there any obviously missing ...

i) ears that are not given for existing boss, excluding greys
ii) a boss or named mob that could do with an ear?
iii) a boss completely missing - either as implicated by built-in map lore or simply because it's an obvious cul-de-sac?

Here are some existing bosses without ears: (All of these suggestions should probably be buffed somehow if they were to be implemented.)
- I'm not sure if the balron at the end of Anathema's Suffering has an ear, though it's in the perfect position for one.
- Other than that, maybe the blackmage in Sagittarius in the shadow castle area, by the fourth barrier lever? It's pretty difficult to get there.
- Oh, and also the ice dragon at the volcano in Uncharted North.

Some minor bosses:
- The 2x2 minotaur in the Labyrinth?
- The 4 chieftans of Dead Forest?
- The evil bunny at Nizwendeux?
- The 8 dragons of Matriarch's Domain?

Some bosses that should exist:
- A boss in the western castle of Lost Jungle?
- A boss at the end of the hard Gauntlet?
- Turn the Time Lord from an NPC into a fightable boss, maybe through a quest line. The shadowrealm an interesting stage!
- Can't remember if there's something at the end of Netherterra either.

Town of Lost Souls bosses, Boss at the end of Apocalyptic Mino Halls are all I can come up with off the top of my head.

I wish all special bosses had unique powers/abilities tbh. Most special quest mobs are just bosses. The mino king in mino halls should be much tougher than a boss chieftain.

Drachentrog / Stygian Abyss ? I turned the place upside down already looking the for the evil wizard boss Tyball and his wicked orb that many NPCs mention as main cause of place being full of traps (besides imprisoning NPCs' relatives). NPCs clues give an idea of where he's located, but I fully explored (or I think I did) all levels and didn't find him. Never saw an ear with his name either, but all this may be due to my inexperience. But since people rarely go there these days, I thought I should mention it.

I was hoping lost jungle ended in going to the top of a volcano. Obviously I hoped it would be more Indiana Jones like with rail cart rides, Boulder, evil temple, pygmies, etc.

LJ bosses that should be:
One in the hut
2x2 goblin in caves
Should be one of each mob type as leader of individual tribes
The ice ettin 2x2

Pity there are no jungle palm tree avatars.
