check out my quest chart!

Post by eggmceye »

go to armoury
for any character profile scroll down and look for the quests section
(BTW it now tells you how many quests you have completed on that character)

then click on quest chart

eg here is mine for Frederick on PD
http://euotopia.com/quests.php?p=Frederick&serv=PD

(note that the chart shows some dependancies that don't actually exist (yet))
(the hex number in [ ] is the quest id)
(also some quests are hidden from your log, eg threepio's password - which is a pre lua quest and might as well be deleted)

:alarm: SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER :alarm:
if you want to see every quest in euo ... then cut paste this into your browser ... tho once you see it you will never be able to unsee it ...

This thing literally just came up while I was browsing around in armoury, and I thought... 'why haven't I noticed this before?'
It's awesome. I really like the way it splits on the quest lines. Reminds me of a quad tree or something. :geek:

The is fantastic, especially handy for day trippers like me who wander around the countryside grinding at random then want to dig back into some quest but have no idea where we left off... Thanks!

it's actually not the world's greatest spoiler because a) it doesn't give away any story line (such as that is) b) it doesn't tell you what keywords you need

This is amazing. Thanks Egg.

162 out of a total of 189 complete. Looks like I got some work to do.

Hold on let me pop up my favorite alts chart...
On Punisher there is Jonathan's wish...
I have two parts but one part 59 isn't completed. I"m not sure who I didn't talk to. Pretty sure I followed everything including talkingto Rutger. Maybe I need to reinvestigate edgar's prison.

The other is lycan quest 25 talking to Tristan. I believe it might be the route where you pay to see and Talk to Tegen but I might be wrong. BTW, where'd the name Tegen come from? I keep thinking of Gauntlet when I see the name but that's Tengen I believe.

I swore PUNISHER did the Xen Corp spell quest but maybe I forgot. Killing balrons certainly isn't much of a problem.

Now that I notice.. he needs to do the vamp quests but I know those are able to be done I just don't want to rewrite my quest spreadsheet again. Well, most if it is intact due to an old email to myself so not too much work. So I guess 59 and 25 are my only concerns..

[25] is indeed bribing tristan
[59] is jonathan's flower which req's you having done [35] jonathan's wish (talking to rutger or whatever)

actually those a bit tangled and the chart may not reflect that (thanks kybare)

Bumping this instead of making a new thread.

Is there a short list of when quests were created?

What quests were removed? (Thinking of the shard of virtues pd had at one time mostly but wonder if there were more)?

Is there a list or diagram for what reqs are needed for what quests?

Is there a documented list of all npc quest related chatter even before you actually can activate the quest? (Sometimes npcs say funny things).

This is all rather spoiler territory I suppose.

Any new quests in the idea hot box?
Resetting quests?
Option to finish quests paths you can't take because you took the other? (Quest completionists!!)

I think majority quests made < 2010, and the last set of guard's quests prob made around 2008? you can scour the change logs on the manual / updates thread to figure it out, but I don't have a log

maybe 1 or 2 quests were deleted but they would have been hidden steps made redundant by scripting, etc. They aren't real quests so the practical answer is no, except for the PD shard quest, but pd then was the maeondir continent only, remember?

no quests are planned

I can reset quests but I'm 90% of the opinion that in euo quest completion isn't necessary, so eg for the Byron quests, you just have to pick a thread and live with that choice. I've tried to accommodate this by having the quest summary on armoury reflect you can only choose 1. Same w/ vamp. Become vamp or not & choose 1 of 2 paths.

Yeah that's pretty cool. On pd Stealeg has two shards. It was an interesting quest path. I might go through and look at the quest creation in the update logs.
