Subscriptions, again

I thought about account binding mechanism for all home owners but it was too cheesy so now it's indefinitely on hold.

Anyway this the subscription thing has stalled in my mind again. prem coins (ie blackrock coins) gives good flexibility but I'm not sure it's needed and buying omelettes seems kinda irritating.

It would be really easy for me to abandon premium/blackrock coins even and just have a single $5 sub that gives:
+25% xp all chars all the time
free extell portals
no merch tokens reqd
50 addy coins per month to the bot

Then occasional random offers, free junk, specials etc - at which nothing right now is on the table - guaranteed free random piece of junk to me feels kind of worthless & pointless. It would be like the 'collectible' junk you get attached to certain magazine series - or 'collector's edition' dvds - they are never collectible! What might be (and this is pure speculation) is that there might be an offer such as

"for all subscribers get this red horse for 20AC - subs only!"
"random glass objet-de-art - 10AC"

etc

and I am open to 'subscriber' maps only - eg blood map respawns, 10x uberheroics, etc - these can be added later - and there is no guarantee at this stage that will ever happen - again more speculation.

So if you were going to "SUPPORT EUO" for 5 bux a month, right now you would get

I say put it up and see how many subscribers you get. I'd subscribe based upon those terms. I'd wager (based on the # of users I see online) that you'll get >10 subscribers. I think that has more to do with the playerbase than the subscription offer.

I would subscribe on these conditions.
Though, i love the idea of "premium dungeons" for people who have subscribed.
Maybe a harder dungeon or "legendary dungeon" so that all premium members could party hunt and it'd also encourage others to become premium members so that they can access the awesome dungeons.
If that was apart of the offer; I would subscribe right away.

I agree with colt about a special dungeon. Maybe bring back bloody Mino halls, or maybe heroic Blood Moor?

Also (just me being picky) I really liked the idea of selling lvl 16 maps, id still like to see some special buyable items. Again thats just me, id happily subscribe for whats being offered now, i just like a little versatility.

And as severian suggested, maybe items for accounts that buy subscriptions for so long (x item at 6 months, X items after a year) Its a good incentive to get people to STAY subscribed.

As far as +25% being too much, i don't think so, lets be real, Reg is simply disgusting to lvl. +25% really isn't all that bad, if anything, its been needed haha.

Maybe its a special Extell Rune like runes of recall except it only goes to a specific spot in the tower where the portals are.

When you have this up and going , can you try and get Euotopia on Steam in the "free to play" section, then have the subscription available through steam too ? Have a plan to upscale the server to thousands of players ? If it catches on maybe quit your dayjob ?
