Personally, I'd ask egg to trim me back down to the level required of the tourney.Eisenheim wrote:I accidently leveled one level too much (dont ask... -.- )
Is it possible, once declared to participate the tourney, to ascend to the next higher division?
Or am i disqualified now completely from the tourney?
(Dont think my opponents wanna fight me now )

I am so fucking hard for this tournament. I'm like Viagra hard right now. Don't care if I win or lose, I just goddamn love PVP. So hard right now.

Re: August 2010 PvP Tournament
People seriously need to get on. Get this over with. There are so many divisions that haven't even had 1 fight yet.
I have 2 left.
Come one Skitzo and Yoruo.

Yes, let's get this finished up so monks can be put in. I would also like to ask DMs to not have any events as this can cause the server to go down like it has the last few days. At leats until the tourney is over with. Maybe a reminder when you log on about the tournament as a reminder to those out there would work too.
LET'S FINISH THIS!!

don't you fucking dare to presume that a DM event caused the server lockup yesterdayKeighn wrote: I would also like to ask DMs to not have any events as this can cause the server to go down like it has the last few days.

Re: August 2010 PvP Tournament
it was fault with the server that had nothing to do with the event
in fact it was totally my fault - feel free to sling shit at me ... you can all go back to kissing spaz's ass now, and you should

And goblins that gave me 300000000000 xp each. Yeah.. I had fun after that.

Re: August 2010 PvP Tournament
In the future there needs to be separate tournaments for the different classes instead of a single unified tournament. It is impossible to set up a set of rules for a tournament that doesn't disadvantage one class more than it does another. Also, there are class imbalances that give one class an advantage over another when you pit players of different classes against each other.
Each class tournament would have it's own rules and only players of that class could participate. The allowable equipment, abilities, items, spells, etc allowed for each class tournament would be different. Dual class characters could compete in both tournaments of the classes they have skill in but they would be limited to the rules of the specific class tournament they are competing in. If you have multiple alts of different classes, then those alts could each participate in the tournament according to their class.
Ideas for rules for the different class tournaments:
Fighter:
any shield allowed
any armor allowed
only fighter weapons allowed
only fighter specials/abilities allowed
no spells allowed
Rogue:
no shields allowed
only light and lesser grade armor allowed
only rogue weapons allowed
only rogue specials/abilities allowed
no spells allowed
Mage:
no shields allowed
any armor allowed
only stave weapons allowed
only mage specials/abilities allowed (MR cleave)
only sorcery and magery spells allowed
Priest:
no shields allowed
any armor allowed
only blessed mace weapons allowed
only priest special/abilities allowed (thunderclap)
only piety and divinity spells allowed
Monk: (i know they aren't in yet, just adding them for completeness)
no shields allowed
only unarmored gear allowed
only unarmed weapons or gloves of attack allowed
only monk specials/abilities allowed
only sanctity spells allowed
Universal rules: (these rules apply to all the classes)
no glass weapons
no consumables (that includes potions, scrolls, food, and other misc items) (only food allowed is food that gives no bonus)
buffs and bonuses from everything except equipped items are stripped away upon entering arena. (to prevent people taking advantage of items or a "feel great" before starting the fight.)
no werewolf form allowed
best 2 out of 3 wins. 5 minute max time allowed per match.
In the case the match goes the full 5 minutes the winner is the one that did the most damage.
There might be a few more rules that need to be added that i haven't thought of. Please feel free to make suggestions/comments.

Re: August 2010 PvP Tournament
I'd say vanila equipment; meaning no tint, no magic +, enchants, NADA. Reason, its supposed to be a match based on skill not your own personal bling. If you suck balron nuts at pvp then you shouldn't be in the arena.

Re: August 2010 PvP Tournament
I'll just dual class Rogue/Fighter and use my foil/shield combo. That gonna be a problem, rust? By adding in all these rules, you're limiting our ability to form a strategy and taking us a step back to the "rock, paper, scissors" ideals of pvp. I'd say there's no problem with the tournament the way it is.Rusty76 wrote:In the future there needs to be separate tournaments for the different classes instead of a single unified tournament. Re: August 2010 PvP Tournament
If we go by current rules then fighter/rogues should be able to use unlimited orange/green pots.
