So Kos seems to be a bit outdated, and conversation got a bit heated last night, 3 of us on 1 pretty much.. When Kos first started it was pvp, Well... Now with DM event and party changes, wtf is the point? I don't see the need to be PVP all the time, Sometimes I'm doing shit where I don't want to be bothered or randomly pk'd. If I'm hunting somewhere by myself, and someone else comes to where i'm hunting, fuck that noise, im there to hunt... not there to bother fighting some moron who doesnt know when enough is enough. Pretty much, Hell and I kept KoS alive when everyone else left.... And for Mord to come back.. and rules that haven't been active in the last two years are suddenly back again? I think it's stupid. The only one who thinks pvp all the time is a good idea is Mord, and probably Tyler as well... Honestly, if this rule stays active, there goes half of KoS. You know, we be pvp when we want to.. And to be quite frank, icba doing shit just because " oh well D12 does it, and we're going to war with them" LAUGHING OUT LOUD LIKE A MORON like seriously? Half of them are all b.s. when it comes to pvp. Like Mackey, he can disarm and shield. It's a 15 minute battle, thats why we have Tourneys. Maybe everyonce in awhile we should do clan battles, but im not going to sit here and act like I got something to prove EVERYTIME i sign on. I dunno though, I think maybe KoS needs to be updated and some changes need to be made. Changes that are positive and dont just piss everyone off. I think the pvp rule kinda went out the window when everyone dissapeared and stopped playing EUO. I like the fact that now we can choose when we want to be pvp as apposed to when you went pvp, you couldn't turn it off.

Dunno, feel free to leave opinons... Maybe some changes we could make to improve KoS as a clan, and maybe get D12 knocked off the scoreboard.

Good example of this is when Spaz I think it was spawned an event for Mario and because he had PvP on silentfrost and gwynn killed(? or tried to?) him to take over the event. PvP is fun on occasion, however as Egg has said before it is not meant to be a large part of the game and sure as hell shouldn't be a hard requirement of any clan just to be a member. I generally sit outside nord with other stuff up on my screen with only the chat window of EUO visible to me, combat messages off and sound at a minimum (i'm usually watching tv or something while I play) so don't particularly want to come back to find myself dead because some noob took advantage of the fact I was essentially afk. Requiring pvp was fine before res sickness was implemented, with that implemented I'm mid-conversation with people outside nord and have to disappear to meditate it off. Bottom line is it's a hassle that I don't much care for most of the time, sure PvP is fun on occasion but when you've got people bugging you constantly it's just a pain in the ass. I've been in the clan for a while (probably about a year i'd guess) and have strolled past fellow clan members without pvp switched on on numerous occasions and none of them have ever complained about the fact, because truth is, the purpose of clans as someone has pointed out recently (couldn't find the post to quote) a private chat channel for a bunch of friends, nothing more.

And if KoS has to be pvp, there goes 3-4 of us because we don't feel like being pvp all the time, since it's a requirement, you'd have to boot us, which then in turn we'd probably just make a new clan, the mini KOS.. LAUGHING OUT LOUD LIKE A MORON! But seriously, Mord had a bitch fit and left the clan last night because we didn't agree with him, so everytime something doesnt go his way, he gonna quit?

Oh hey a conversation on KoS forums o.o
As for what you're saying - i get it, pvp's annoying at times.
So go non-pvp if ya want and just have fun, we're not here to make you pvp, just wanted more pvp'ers around :P
And Mord left? weird, his choice tho.
Anywho there ya go, i'll update main page or get Tyler to so no more of this convo here eh?

Laters

p.s.
Might start playing more, college is coming up so can't spend hours on the other game.

Of course I could be at fault there. I shouldn't have shouted out on global what Spaz was doing.

Anyways. I think KoS is more of a fun clan now. I'd hate to see it anything else. Everyone in the clan is cool, and funny. And we all love to fuck with Shawty from time to time. I have pvp almost 100% of the time, but I still can see the common annoyances of having to have pvp on all the time. Sometimes it does fag up outside Nord, and usually at those times I like to sit and chill.

Matter of fact, when I'm outside Nord, I'm afk almost 60% of the time. If i'm not afk I'm talking to the people outside Nord.

Real reason my PvP is on is because I love to kill people.

EDIT: Btw hellslave, I said the the comment about the main reason for clans is their own private chat.
EDIT2(I should read all posts before replying): Sorry AoD. I guess my statement is the end of it.

I was thinking for clan hunts should we do a "need" system? i.e. a rogue item drops and the rogues in the party roll for the item, a fighter item drops they roll etc... Of course this will suck big time if an artifact drops but like it was said last night "clan before greed"... Obviously if an outsider comes into the equation then we should roll for the item as the outsider shouldn't be allowed to do that... (however some of the artifacts despite being leather or heavy are blatently not good for that class, like what good is 4def and 25 dex to certain fighters?)

Yeah that was my idea in blood moor last night. The only thing I'd say though is that we should roll on all arties. I mean how many people actually use the arty weapons? most people favour tinted enchants (tinted freddies hands are an exception to this) but a definite "need before greed" policy should come into effect for clan hunts. Hell for the past few years I've been doing that anyway, I mean, most of the time I play my mage (although i'm pretty digging my priest too these days) so whenever a fighter or rogue item was dropped I'd pass on it so that theres at least a higher chance of it going to someone who it's of use to. This was never just in the clan, whenever I was hunting with anyone I'd do this, which is the reason I have nowhere near as many collectables as most other people, however I've got what I need.

To further elaborate on the system though, If, for arguments sake, a BR field plate + 6 dropped and the fighter of the party was already wearing Addy FP +7, it should go to a roll. If it's a direct improvement for a member of the party (not any of their alts!) then that member should get it, else it goes to the roll. The reason for excluding alts is well, I have 1 of each of the 5 classes, which would mean I should get everything cause 3 of the alts are below level 60 so almost anything is an improvement. If you want your alt to get the gear, hunt on that alt!

Actually, WoW has a similar system.

They have a "Need", a "Greed", and a "Disenchant" roll system. Obviously the need roll is preferred. And if you need roll on something you don't really need. People get pissed at you.

I think from now on all clan hunts should now use Hellslave's/Wow's Need/Greed system for all hunts. As for people from other clan's hunting in parties with us there's not much we can do about it, but I bet they'd agree to it if you stated it at the beginning. Can we also just always assume its high roll also? I never like the confusion and sometimes debates after rolls about whether we're rolling low or high, even though this hasn't happened when it was just clan hunting together I wanted to get that off my chest. :abject:

Agree on the high rolls thing, got pretty pissed when i was hunting with zorgon (who ALWAYS rolls low) just the 2 of us in the party, an addy fredricks hand (i forget which) dropped, we rolled then afterwards he decided that we were rolling high...
