I'm drawing inspiration from a game I used to play, DoomRL. Yup a roguelike based on Doom. Have you ever played this Egg? Anyone else?

yes, that's a brilliant game! this one is good too http://cutstuff.net/mm8bdm/ - mega man 8bit deathmatch, on doom engine (or is it anymore?)

without going too much offtopic: I have no positive or negative feels about the expansion
No, I don't wear a watch. As my Dad used to say, "I'm not into time, man."

thank you for your public ambivelence

As far as actual updates goes, here are 3 map dumps from my new RNG maps - progess is slow but ticking over - I might make a big fat life blog post later, maybe not (short: there are IRL delays but seeing ppl still playing euo keeps me happy and motivated)

Looks nice some of those maps remind me of some mini maps in a few old bards tale games. In outside most of the time during summer but when winter hits ill pop up my maped. Haven't read entire thread in a bit. Someone keep posted when the additional apoc tileset is added. Also is there a list of wanted items abilities mobs and maps ideas wanted. I'm talking just a barebones list nothing tldr?

Keep up the momentum.

Ps rail lines going in?

Those random maps look really nice Egg. I actually prefer the room type random maps like the 1st and 3rd. A random open space map or wilderness would be cool if the monster spawning was under control lThe main thing that bothers me about some random maps (treasure maps, phases, some others) is large open spaces full of 20+ monsters.

Keep up the good work Egg. :D

Well my main problem with them is the lag it causes when you a big group of dragons, the white dragons are cloning you and the black dragons are summoning daemons.

Also if you have a pet, they like to run into the middle of large groups as soon as the fight starts it seems.

That's true. All part of the fun, though, in my opinion. I get excited when I see a big group of monsters (unless they're just too strong and difficult to lure).

Got this implemented and working: got a fully apocalyptic Mino halls (no pit) ready to go. Just got to do apoc monsters, then spawners.
Thank you morty !

big gains today ... with morty's map Town of Lost Souls completed and integrated into the new continent, I'm now just filling in the path to it. I think to start with I'm just going to have a small section of continent explorable, one town, one shrine, morty's map, apocalyptic minotaur halls, and 3 or 4 new monsters. I really want to get morty's map live, and just the fucking ball rolling on this rotten expansion! :rage:

In the future ...
* 1's map, which still needs a bit of work
* plus 3 algorithms for random maps which as yet am unsure about how to use them.
* tons of ideas for new artifacts, new goodies, new monsters
and that lot is really just enough to add a little more. I don't think the entire apoc new sosaria continent will be filled for a very long time.

So, without making any promises, hope to see something new and uploaded within days.

Can't wait! This is good news indeed! I have an idea for a map that I''ve been fussing with for months now. I dropped the ball some time ago, but I think it would be perfect for the new map! I'll see if I can't get some time together to get the map ironed out!

Very exciting stuff! I haven't had the motivation to do much of anything lately which is why I've been MIA lately. It's great to see an update is coming up though :)

Brilliant, keep up the good work :aus:

@egg: look who's talking, it was a futurama reference, not ambivalence X-D
