To redo your stats just use the /respec command, except on alpha you don't have to pay for it!

/respec is all I know of.
I would still like to see an alpha server with server specific "dm" /commands. ie /setstats /createitem [weapon] [weight] [tint] [+]
I feel that alpha should not have any leveling system in place, and should have a daily automated item wipe and be used as a test server only.

Well, the leveling system ensures that leveling is working properly for new classes/races etc. I wouldn't want to nix that. I can work with anything but for someone really bored to find bugs a lot of those would be valid IMHO. As I posted before...

Just added an armoury function where you can copy any char from reg or PD to alpha. To use it, be logged into armoury and then go to the char profile you want to copy and link to copy is under the name up the top.
If a char on alpha exists with same name then the char being copied will be renamed. Pets are not copied.
I considered wiping alpha monthly but chickened out.

A general problem with pets is that at 100 taming the only pet worth getting is usually a black or red dragon due to all others' low stats. So, now that necromancers can tame undead, and can tame undead dragons, I needed to beef those undead dragons, and indeed all pets up.
When you tame a pet, or when a pet evolves:
* pet stats are scaled to roughly dragon stats, multiplied by your % in taming
* base stats for a new pet with 100% taming:
-- HP 725
-- INT 750
-- MR 375
-- AS 38
-- AC 40
-- Dmg 5d7
-- speed 500ms
* the pet's new stats will be the greater of their normal stat or the above stat * skill% in taming. Eg if your taming skill is 50% then the pet's HP will be the greater of its normal HP or 725 * 0.5
* this instant pet stat respec does not ever apply to non-undead dragons, tho I'm willing to change this if someone puts up a good argument for it
Testing this on alpha. It's probably a good change - but I am a bit wary.
This statbonus does not get applied retroactively. If you want a new king rat pet you will have to go and tame another.

Something that might be interesting to try (though it'd take a lot of grinding) is to get a character up to level 1000 from level 1 and then remort that character at lvl 1000 since the cap is based on the amount of XP rather than level.

OK weird stuff when 1k:
Non Remorted 1k can advance to lvl 1,021 but this is due to the maximum xp allowed which is like 2 billion so that seems normal.
Remort at 1k gains me 1 level is all to 1,001.
Remorted 1k mage can progress up to lvl 1,096.
I guess that's pretty cool for testing.
