Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
so as a matter of interest, egg, what happens when a bloodkin vampire happens upon bloodmoor?
Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
you tell me since you're obviously making a statement rather than asking a question
Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
mack don't quote something non existent,
egg: what i mean is a bloodkin vampire in bloodmoor is to easy, i can kill in their at 140 with most of the creature's in bloodmoor using vamp bite constantly. just seems like it will be an easy cheese.
honestly any vampire will be able to cheese it pretty well, bloodkin just did it exceptionally well.

I've been doing that with undead too. Just one of the benefits of XMP not working on us. A wyvern XC will still rape you though so it all works out.syfr wrote:mack don't quote something non existent,

Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
I agree with Mack, xc and cleave are 100% the reason why everyone dies in the blood moor. With the respected levels i guess.

Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
with the expected lvls sure, but they dont cast xc very often, so unless its that 1 out of 1000 chance undead will just walk through like its nothing, maybe i just have incredible luck with xc.
Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
I think you do cause i get xc raped alot of times in bm and it makes me rage quit. Being a mage with 800 hp and two wyverns kick me with an xc and its game over. I feel like most of them just spam it.syfr wrote:with the expected lvls sure, but they dont cast xc very often, so unless its that 1 out of 1000 chance undead will just walk through like its nothing, maybe i just have incredible luck with xc.

Dojo master on alpha dropped a level 2 map. I didn't think dojo masters could drop anything.

What? Since when do monsters have a cool off to use their spells?
On a search to find the meaning of life... Oh wait, to get to level 450!
Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
he's the one using vamp bite constantly... not the monster.

Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
His comment could mean either thing, and it makes more sense if he said it as if the monsters were (Seeing as the player ability has a cool-off and blood moor monsters do spam vamp bite)

Instead of constant damage when your a vampire in daylight. Possibly -50% health when in daylight. Could even put it as damage does 2x normal damage. Its just impossible to hunt in the daylight as a vampire. With half the decent maps it makes hunting, treasure hunting, training skills, ect almost impossible.
EUO the only game you can kill a Dragon while butchering his dead brother at the same time.

Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
I think that's kind of the point. Vampyrism and Lycanthropy are supposed to be severely detrimental, seeing as they're diseases.GoldenGanondorf wrote:Instead of constant damage when your a vampire in daylight. An idea that could work, though, would be some sort of potion/food buff that protects you from sunlight, either slightly or entirely (SPF 10,000,000 sunblock?)

Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
Ya but the thing is i have said that sunblocking thing before and it has been thrown out the window. So I figured the -50% health with double damage would even it out pretty much

Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
yeh I think GG is onto something
Re: alpha server - now testing player vampires!
Vampirism isn't curable, while lycanthropy is. You can even turn into a werewolf at will! So yeah, I have to agree that vampirism sun thingy needs a nerf. I mean imagine a level 1 walking to the newb dungeon and well, they are toast like WTF.
