Instead of being able to turn into werewolf or vamp both at any time, change to one or the other at any time, you have choice of which to be on the side of. THEN make it into Lycan vs vamp thing or something if at all

With vampires, will there be a vampire shop? (maybe underground?) Unless they wanna goto the bank during daylight and risk burning up.

yeh let's add an under ground banker somewhere

also, getting vamp will be a quest - it won't be catchable like lycanthropy
it also probably won't be curable

So would a player have to be a human before they become a vampire?

Might be kinda odd to have a dwarven vampire!

Also, would dual classing be an option for vampires? (since if a dual-classed human became a vampire... ?)

Would they retain the natural race bonuses? Like a skeletun vampire?

Also... vampire dust (old item; doesn't drop anymore I think?)... will it be making a comeback for some strange reason? :D

yeh bonuses would stack
the biggest drawback for vamps must be sunlight I think

also I forgot to make lycan/vamp mut-ex :o

What about things like drake form or the monk's soul wander thingy? Would sunlight still affect a vampire drake?

Just pitchin' curve balls in case someone figures out a sunlight cheese. If races would stack with a vampire that would be pretty godly in dungeons, etc. I'm guessing.

Also... garlic. Bad bad bad! Garlic-tainted weapons? Arrows etc. do more damage (stakes?) Would a vampire have to feed when they get hungry? Might be kinda tough to find food some places. Maybe the vampire's underground den should have a blood bank that sells vials of blood or something.

EDIT: vampyric weapons on vampires would give such great HP leech! Possibly have it so that the vampyric weapon and the vampire don't get along? (Like the vampyric essence inside the weapon hates the vampyric user and actually hurts the vampire for each hit rather than heals it?)

curve balls are great and the really fun thing about making new features, seeing what weird combos stack - best not to worry about them and simply fix /nerf anything that is op

already vamp weaps and vamp attacks do not stack however - so vamp weapons useless for a vamp char

As a human I can't race change despite having 92 skill cap. It says plyr cap bonus is 0>! cant change race.

Vampires still get resurrection sickness and when its daylight its almost impossible to remove it at lower levels. Might have to add an underground "Undead Shrine" And maybe it could have a blood fountain as an alternate place to eat for vampires.

Edit
Also think that you could get special effects from certain monsters blood? Ex. Drink blue dragon blood get lightning resistance. Same as cooking pretty much

Edit
Also for a vampire rogue technically they are hiding in the shadows so should they still be getting hurt in the daylight? This might also be a huge cheese as a vampire gnome rogue would be well op compared to any other vampire class.

edit 12/19/11
Also for those players that own a house would it be an option to move our house underground for free ? Just wondering cause don't have the cash for an add on for my basement atm.

Maybe a special town just for vamps that's located in the underworld? (Villa Muertos or Something)

Also if you don't want to make rogues not get hurt because they are hiding in the shadows this might be the time to make shadowkin's shine and make them not be hurt while invisible/hiding.

Suggestion: Make darkness tiles a safe spot for vampires. So people with houses can idle without worry. (They'll sell like hot cakes, more money for you.)
