what if dwarves could craft there own items/tint?

Idea 1.) "Dwarfish/Dwarven mail" is a type of item like "plate mail" but only craftable at 105% crafting (and give) dwarves a 15 % + on Armour / weapon skill or make it only craftable by dwarves
"Dwarven mail" would be heavy and give 2.5 def base (.5 over plate)
this way you could make BlackRock Dwarven Mail +5

they would have Dwarven 2h axe / Dwarven pickaxe(1h) the Dwarven would add 1 base damage on 1h 2 base damage on the 2h

Idea2.) Dwarven is a tint like Blackrock or addy
Dwarven would add
+45% damg
+30% def

Idea 3.) dwarves can Sharpen weapons and fortify armour (lasts 600 sec.)
+10% AS
+25% dmg
+15% def
all i want is a test server for maped then ill be happy ...

Is this idea dead? I was wondering if Dwarves are still on their way to euo or not. I really hope they come in, even if they're just enemies or npc's.

I figured they'd get these bonuses:

+10% Mining
-15% Dexterity (their too stocky and bulky to run a lot!)
+10% Damage with Axes
+5% in ALL crafting skills (wood, enchant, tinkering, smithing, etc)

My own version of dwarves (kinda inspired by Shining Force enemy dwarves) would be humanoid creatures that are not neccessarily smally than Humans, but rather "proportionately shortened," while being rather large. In other words, let's say a dwarf's head makes up roughly 1/3 of his body's height, whereas for humans it's about 1/7 to 1/8 the size of their body's height (on average length, not short or really tall).

I even sprited up some avy's to illustrate that:

-A dwarf holding a keg of ale (with spillage)
-A dwarf miner (who doesn't care about helmet safety laws :P)

hey are dwarfs still coming in? I would be interested in them, but not really if the -dex loss is to great...

Str bonus (mentioned by almost everyone).

Extra damage with axe weapons (+15% more?)

More deadly cleave(lasts for 6 seconds instead of 3, or maybe target loses 10% hp instead of 5%).

Some basic resistance to fire - they are used to work in forge, so fire doesn't hurt them as much as other races.

Ability to mine more ore from one vein.
It's always funny until someone gets hurt. Then it's just hilarious.

The resistances make good sense but makes me wonder if the current races have any? I need to check the monster.dat to see if resistances is listed on the mobs now as well.

I think to make dwarves unique to orks, they should have a bonus in health rather than STR... while health is useful to every class, STR isn't.

Yeah, gotta agree on that. Maybe a simple bonus to Health, defense, crafting skills, and maybe AS.

I'm workin on dwarven infravision atm, something I've thought abt for ages ... no guarantee it will be for dwarves tho. It's actually been quite problematic to get working and still isn't finished ...

infravision sounds awesome.
i like like hens idea on giving them better cleave maybe add <o> to their cleave
(since their so low to the ground they clip your legs and slow you down)
+mining ofc
+1/2 NV
+axes or/and polearms
+mr
that looks like enough

I think certain ales should increase certain atributes? Maybe one ale increases 15% str, maybe some ales increase 15% dex and maybe one 15% int? Maybe a bitter strong (rare) ale that increases 15/15 str/dex? I would like to see dwarves being used by other classes such as rogue or mage. Perhaps they can be expert tailors to? (not sure what the name for mithril would be for cloth/leather though).

I also think dwarves should get either an mr boost or an attack damage boost, to make dwarves more decent. As draconians can fly and have some nice perks, so maybe dwarves to go with infravision should also? (yes the hp boost is very nice also).
