Re: Ideas thread 2022/23
Shamelessly piggybacking off of socketed staves and LC's idea: 1. Casting VYR (dragon form) removes all of your summons (but you can still polymorph and then summon afterwards) 2. Gem socketed staff + KVX (summon dragon). If you have enough int, use a socketed staff and cast KVX, the dragon instead ...

Re: EUO 1.3.44 - beastmastery, socketable staffs, Apoc Newbie dungeon + more
That being said, green dragon is definitely a glass cannon form. As long as you can get something (e.g. a party member or pet) to tank for you, you have the highest potential damage output. In fact, after blood moor I decided to clear out normal CoS, and in the packed rooms for the temple dungeons i...

Re: EUO 1.3.44 - beastmastery, socketable staffs, Apoc Newbie dungeon + more
Now that I have one of every polished gem, I did some benchmark tests on alpha, using the beginning section of heroic blood forest (forest = section highlighted in green, blood forest = section highlighted in red). THESE NUMBERS ARE APPROXIMATIONS - there was a lot of randomness between runs. Red Dr...

Re: EUO 1.3.44 - beastmastery, socketable staffs, Apoc Newbie dungeon + more
Amazing luck today, I got a polished ruby on Eclipse, and while messing around on alpha I managed to also get a polished sapphire! So I was able to test out both builds on a level 550 mage. My initial impressions are that wow, mages are good . While other classes like fighter and recently rogue have...

Re: EUO 1.3.44 - beastmastery, socketable staffs, Apoc Newbie dungeon + more
Yeah good catch. Btw, though most of my fun with EUO is finding cheeses, I do want to say I also am having a lot of fun thinking of non-cheese builds! Especially builds that don't follow the EUO meta. As much as I'm salivating over the polished sapphire, I also want to make a 'flame mage': The polis...

Re: EUO 1.3.44 - beastmastery, socketable staffs, Apoc Newbie dungeon + more
It's been a while since I really played, but this was an awesome update! I finally started playing around with the new socket features to see if there were any cool bugs, and sure enough - after polymorphing into a dragon with your staff of choice, if you eat evil bunny stew/devil wings, you change ...

Re: Ideas thread 2022
@Comet Agree with what you mentioned. What about backstabs from Invis having a small CD. But backstabs from stealth having no CD? Yeah I was thinking of that too. No idea how to code that LAUGHING OUT LOUD LIKE A MORON. I know another idea suggested in the past was to allow invis backstab but nerf ...

Re: Ideas thread 2022
My Rogue Mage senses are tingling :D This is largely a personal opinion but I don't think rogues need to have backstab with invis. Largely because there so many ways it can be cheesed - I forsee rogues stockpiling invis scrolls and just unloading on bosses and 2x2s. And if there's a tank in the part...

Re: A new challenge.
I did it! I managed to grind the remaining 55 levels in a single weekend... Since it was 5th weekend I grinded daemons for arties until level 285, then they stopped giving xp so I ran dragons in suffering then switched to CoS for the last few levels. Sadly I don't have my screenshot of becoming a va...

Only 100 more levels to go
I can't verify when exactly I switched to vamp since this is an old alt but I'm pretty sure it was before 125. I'll have to see if egg can verify exactly when it was.

Re: Ideas thread 2020
So to help brainstorm new rogue buffs I played around with the dual wield desync glitch (see bugs thread - roughly 2x attack speed). The build was a half troll fencer using dual wield bug and 20% of levels into hp shrine. Here were the results: I couldn't use ranged or backstab as much (desync makes...

Re: Bugs Thread - 2020 edition
This is in the same vein as the Half-Troll dual wield bug I posted back in early 2019, but pressing F to fire with a 2h ranged wep while dual wielding causes weapon desync, due to the update where 2h unequips the offhand. To replicate, dual wield and then F to fire with no targets in range. It looks...
