The biggest prob with huge maps is file transferrage, and it's completely unreliable now - the bigger the files the crappier it gets! What kindof files? BDO just sends the surrounding 9 'zones' around the character, which are 15x15 tiles big upon login/map change I don't know how you coded your gam...

BDO uses a "chunk" system when drawing terrain, to make it easy to draw very large maps
