Re: Upgrade your gear (low level)
Yes, but can you get that amount running through Nordhaven Jail or Izumi Mine, which most new characters tend to do until they can roam further?

That's not entirely true . . . I read the forums daily ( granted, I may be one of the few ), but I simply don't have anything that "anyone" is looking for . . . I don't have the MR to hang with Dragons ( at least, not more than one at a time ), so I rarely find anything worth note.

Re: Ideas thread 2010
I would agree with that as well . . . just because the target isn't the brightest bulb in the drawer doesn't mean that the ones around him are just as dim. Not bad . . . I had thought strictly along the one on one lines, but you raise a good point.

Re: Ideas thread 2010
Ok, not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I'll give it a try. When a rogue is in stealth, and performs a backstab, how about some chance ( based on stealth skill / dexterity formula ) that allows them to stay in stealth? The logic being that, the bugger remained hidden up to this point, an...

Re: Ideas thread 2010
Oh how did you guys survive non-online games before there were cheats (speaking late 70s and 80s here)? Speaking as someone who played the earlier Ultima's ( specifically Ultima III ), I didn't, pure and simple. That is the only Ultima betwen I and IV that I didn't eventually beat. Granted, even ba...

Yeah, no joke . . . it's been 13 days shy of forever since we've seen Toadie around. Welcome back sir. Ozi, on the Dr Rude subject, I haven't seen him . . . granted, I've been having a few issues with computer recently myself ( doing this from work ), so I haven't seen him. The last post on the priv...

Hey Doc,
I'm not sure if it's something on my side, or what, but every time I try logging in on that end, it cycles me back to the login screen without logging me in. Very strange.

Well the overall winner is GRUE with Gunther the Lost! (I had to drop the umalat in Gunther :o Wow . . . thank you sir, I appreciate the recognition for poor Mr. Gunter ( no umalat . . . quite alright ). I've been working on at least one additional story for him, which once I actually have some tim...

The new tiles sets look absolutely stunning in game. I look forward to additional tweaks and twists on our classic favorites. Keep it up you two.

20100327-132000.png Hey Egg and McEmo, I tried adding the new tile set, and I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but the water on items with diagonal corners like this is showing up as the standard pink background. I'm completely new to trying this out, so if I missed a critical step to ensure th...

11 feb moa 0.96i * experimental: searching a trapped chest now auto attempts to disarm it (if you have an uncursed probe) For an experimental change, this has been coming in quite useful. You've probably already thought of it, but if not, extending this functionality to lockpicks would also be a hi...

Re: Book writing competition!!!`
grue yr story is very good, we need to discuss dates (and month names) however (there is a formula for calculating the current year in euo) - can you advise as to when roughtly it is set? present time or 1000 years ago (assuming estorrath lives forever, which can be presumed) - you have month names...

Ok, sorry to take up half the page, but ever since the challenge began, I've been slowly working on this epic. Keeping each one within the confines of the word limit was challenging, as it made finding areas to break the story . . . interesting. I know it's a five part epic ( if it can be called tha...

It has taken me much longer than I anticipated, but I finally stand on the threshold of the end of my quest. With my freedom nearly within my gr...
