Re: Ecomonic system

i'd "roughly say" its more like 25-30 mil just in the top 5 richest euo players. Ok, i was just 'guess-timating', my suggestion could be adjusted to more accurate values. By no means I wanted to mean egg was a tyrant, though that'd be a funny picture ahahahah What is the real underlying p...

Re: Ecomonic system

It is a good idea, but i fear it will be target by egg's rage.. if not, i'd hardly see it coming through. But here's a little help: egg said there is too much gold. Why not combine Heikki's idea with egg's "commandment" and hard-code a maximum gold amount available (i imagine having knowle...

Re: Things you'd like to see with EUO 1.3

Geez dude, relax. I did read your post, and i like to think i can understand general writing. And in regard to what you said, the fact the quivering palm only works when wearing full UA seems to be independent of race. So, from where I stand, it seems to me the question would be more like the new ra...

Re: Ecomonic system

I understand that, it just seems far too much more difficult to implement. There would have to be a restructuring of the skills and of the way they are raised (what you can get at which skill %) so that new players could 'get along' the trading system. Plus, i suspect it could take quite a long time...

Re: Things you'd like to see with EUO 1.3

Actually, the Quivering palm not working without full unarmored gear is described in the manual, so maybe its more of a feature rather than a bug? :cow:

Re: Ecomonic system

I'm digging this up because I have been thinking about this for some time now. My first post was rather unclear: it followed a different opinion route from that of DrRude and did not exactly provided ideas easy to implement and discuss. Taking Egg's suggestion (deep whish?) of abolishing all gold, I...

Re: FAQ/QUESTIONS/OTHER STUFF

Kus, as much as i do prefer your (almost mathematical) explanation over my high-level (kind of magical almost) one, how does that explain these: - killing vampires with IJO (there, if someone did not know.. now you do) - killing *-shaman (* stands for any) with IJO (and others...) Do understand I li...

Re: FAQ/QUESTIONS/OTHER STUFF

Some mobs, like dragons, become immune to mana burn after they heal (if you noticed, when fighting a dragon it can heal itself almost fully). Before that, you can hit them for 100s of damage but after wards, no joy. It's a feature, to make gameplay more interesting.

Re: thinking of making some maps...but

Heys! I looked at your map, and it seems like a towne - is that what it's meant to be? It has, in my opinion, some interesting aspects, but there are also some I sort of dislike: such as the 3 wooden doors side by side. I am not sure what you wanted it to be, and it seems to have at least an upper f...

Re: EUO on linux with Wine

Servago, did you solve anything? I have to say, while I do use windows, there has been a time where I did a lot of work under linux - and wine was the way to play euo. However, since euo has had the movable areas (the game, chat, stats and map windows) that it presented those problems while playing ...

Re: Ecomonic system

To me it sounds like a good idea, but in practical I dont really see it as being so. In real life, currencies were developed to avoid some situations where the trading item does not suit to the person you want to trade with. Another question would be: imagine you're level 10, start choking or get po...

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!

As a personal opinion, I dont think everything should be in the manual, and that "serpent warning" is one example. This is because, if it were my game, I would rather have players discover the world other than just go to a manual and read it up. :)

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!

Studded is not equal to adamantium. Boy, am I glad to see some clarification on this issue. Its hard for a low-level, relatively poor player to select how to best waste his money if the reference per excelence (i.e., the manual) is a tiny tad  confusing/unclear :) Thanks guys  PS: and ...
