Was discussing how NG drops off at 1000 stats and comparing the damage to reg last night/ this morning.
If our math checks out, 1000 stats, even with 2x value, only makes for around level 307 on reg. If NG stats were to increase to 3x, it would be the equivalent of around level 462 on reg, which is still a little below reg, but makes apocalyptic NS and some heroic maps more playable.

1000-80=920
920/6 = 153.3
153*2=306
Max level on NG by Reg lvl exchange rate is 306 for humans

Not sure if it would be easier to raise the value of stats on NG or to raise the stat cap to between 1500 and 2000.

Kill lists as mentioned by someone. Who doesn't want a list where you've killed Beholder 1 million times or Kraken 300 or 5 trillion shadow lords (in which case you need to get out more as the Shadow Lords have WON! ... YOU ARE EUOPOSSESSED!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!)

collecting every ear on ng is a noble goal

be cool if there were sorta levels, but the only thing you got everytime you levelled up was get a coin to spend on something

I guarantee people would play NG if the stat cap was higher. Here is a breakdown of stat caps across the servers.

Maxed NG: 1000 (doubled to 2000)
Maxed Weekly/Monthly: 1000 (tripled to 3000)
Level 500 Human Regular 38 levels at versatility: 2846
Level 500 Human Regular: 3074
Level 1000 Human PD Remort: 4775
Level 1000 Human PD Not Remort: 5075

My suggestion, make NG the high stat cap server to make up for the lack of trading due to a small player base. I'd like to see 2k tripled to 6k, but at this point, I'm willing to take any increase.

3k stats with 2x value would really help out NG and give a lot of reason to play.

Remember, last time you bumped the cap up to 1k, it was super slow towards the 1k mark because of how it went up (I forgot the specifics). So maybe take a look and make sure the progression isn't crazy slow.

I gave it a quick go, and it is pretty slow when a stat is at 2k, but might be OK

the big problem is HP: NG has it's own formula for hp, and if the statcap is raised to 3k, hp blows out thru the roof when using the existing HP formula, and that will have to be reworked to be inline with reg

so If i do this change, everyone's HP will just shit itself and you will be forced to go and grind easier mobs for a while

the choice is yours

old NG hp formula (simplified, and STR etc is the effective value, not the raw val)
hpmax=STR+DEX/3+INT/3

rg/pd formula
hpmax=STR/2+Level*1.5+10

new NG formula?
possible hpmax=(STR+DEX/3+INT/3) / 1.5
or even / 2

someone do the math

I'm fine with this - hpmax=(STR+DEX/3+INT/3) / 1.5

I looked up the HP for maxed PD characters and it would put the HP at about the same level.

Having it /2 would be pretty rough for mages/necros/monks/rogues. The regular server also has access to the HP shrine which isn't available on NG.

I could keep HP as is for stats<1000 and use the new formula for HP for stats>1000 ... that way no body under 1000 gets nerf

if you're gonna do it, i'd change it accross the board IMO. they can get over it and if it's that big of a difference, they can train and make it not suck. it makes more sense that way. i love the idea of making NG a bamf. 2k stats x3? is that what you're talking about currently?

I don't think the nerf to hp under 1k stats is that big of deal at all considering how fast it is to get to 1k. Not to mention I think people will just be happy that stats are being increased and won't complaint about the temporary lower hp.
