Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

my inital, oldschool reaction is, "TIME TO NERF PD"
my new 40something reaction is "well at least they are having fun, maybe"

Re: retiring level 1000 pd characters
there is a thing (notice I didn't say problem) with pd where it kinda gets easier and easier, right?
Re: retiring level 1000 pd characters
the first 100 levels are the hardest part of pd, after that hybrids and 2x2 monsters keep it interesting.
and ofc it helps to have all good gear waiting at your house for your newb char to grind.
might try lotl next

Re: retiring level 1000 pd characters
Well, lately the trend is Necromancers. I don't know how they do it as I just plain suck at it. I mean, I have a Necromancer named Drusilla (totally decked out balmystic mega gear - a few aren't up at top but close) and even with a pet or not she's dragging at lvl 200 (albeit she's a pure class but still).
Some classes are harder than others. Fighters just get tedious but eventually plow through it. Priests much the same way. Rogues, and monks take longer. But I've never seen a class take out shit as fast as Necromancers. (mostly I'd say dualclassed ones).
At least they're not cluttering the scoreboard. Its nigh hard to get on there when the top 7 are 1k.
But yeah, if everyone is having a good time I won't complain.

3per account makes you choose what chars you want to make, can't just grind one of all and make em immortal
Re: retiring level 1000 pd characters
I dont understand how people can do necromancer from 1-1k more than once. Its so fucking boring. I get the thought process behind it, the clear speed for necros is literally 3 times as fast as any other class. I think the numbers need a better look at, they are doing insane ammounts of damage in a very short period of time and being able to do that AOE, seems broken. Especially when fighters, monks, and rogues, literally have to fight single target for the most part. Its just going to make more people want to level mass amounts of necromancers then transfer to fighter, rogue, etc; as soon as they hit 1k.Keighn wrote:Well, lately the trend is Necromancers. Re: retiring level 1000 pd characters
Youll always have old timers like me who do things the hard way. Maybe you should work on a reg alt to 500 now.
As to res stone limit.... Mixed thoughts. This is pretty cheesy but i guess its fun for some and respec of stats does cost $$. Old old me may have got upset but now me really doesnt care.
Raise price on respects for those who necro-pwr level?
Whats the community think?

Re: retiring level 1000 pd characters
I already sent the stone before posting that limit idea ... dunno how many you have now, but how many it is you have that would be the limit if there is any. I'm not sure if it really matters.
Re: retiring level 1000 pd characters
i have 3 addy stones now. and i think it is the perfect limit for stones even if i still want one more xD
and yeah, necro is uber fast but remember how many has died while grinding a necro if they dont know what they are doing with it!
its not as easy as i make it seem to be
