Ultima V tileset for the japanese x68000. It is probably identical to the PC-9801 version, at least when you compare the screenshots at http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/ultima/ultima6.htm. I remember that someone made a EUO tileset similar to the x68000 style.

Yeah I believe I have the btiles on disk somewhere. I'll upload them when I find me.

Fm towns u1-u3 is probably close to that tile set. Ultimate 4 for it I think is similar to Atari st or Amiga which might be like PC. I can't find a fmtowns ultima 4 Rom. Btw, the music is stupid on fmtowns.

Wait until I post all ultima 3 tile sets. I just may have every version or close to it.

I would have started with akalabeth but the incomplete josh Steele set bothered me. Now I need to know who made that dual axe wielding green troll in the old btiles.

I just read that trying to find or run a PC-98 ultima 4 is near impossible. Hardcore gaming does show fmtowns and pc98 differences. I believe the u4 to sort of being a combination as the Orc looks like the fm u1-3 collection but terrain looks more u5. I suppose I could make up a tileset.

Honestly don't know why they deviated on fm-towns.

Anyways, I can't find a cga tile set for u4 so I will have to make one based off other ultimas and ega set with retrofitting. After I will make a white/black set.

I never did repost about this. The FM-Town had the ultima 1-3 and I was in the process of creating its tileset. Interesting thing about it is that the Other planets in U2 have slightly different color tints and the same with Ambrosia in Ultima 3. Of course Mondain, Minax, and Exodus had unique tiles.

I couldn't get a working 4 & 5. Seems pretty rare. Sadly all those working files are on my oregon computer so I don't know if i can get the FM-Towns emulator working on this computer. I did get the Atari ST emulator to work relatively well. Hopefully I can get VICE, and CCS64 to work. My Snes, Genesis, Gameboy, etc... not working like I'd like. Then there's the whole controller issue. I'm mostly ticked at myself for not completing the Joshua steele original art in an obscure cheat version of ultima 4 for dos. You had even a shadow lord alt that wielded weapons.

I need to pump up their size as I can't make out their details.

For a bird head we have the phoenix. I recall ultima had parrots or something in the u6-md-SW series. I'm sure any of these could be tweaked.

Owls, might be more difficult. I wonder if there are any egyptian games I could look up and compare their old pixelated creatures/gods. And of course, there are hieroglyphics which should be the simplest to pixelize.
