I didn't find any code where it 'reveals' ... tho it might be able to target non visible with its specials

That's right. It doesn't exactly reveal but it can still pull you in while your non visible.

made changes
i) kraken can't target hidden/invis
ii) spawns a little further away
iii) will despawn the next day if not current engaged in combat

iii) applies to crab too - making both of them rarer I suppose

Although I'm happy about this change, ya gotta admit the Camptown Kraken really did do wonders for Res Stone sales. X-D

Ever since these changes were made, I rarely ever get to fight the Kraken or the Crab. I think the bosses should be changed back to not despawn. Not being able to target hidden players and the further spawn point are good enough for us to get around them.

I dont mind despawn if i knew when the damn thing first spawned to bein with.

Is it once every Euo day or once every planet earth day (true 24 hours).

I also liked the anniversary mobs. A huge work around this is a spawn map that appears.

Ie cloud of fog rolls in or a huge storm is seen offshore. You enter the spawn map if you want. Its not a terribly huge map (smaller than beholder map).. And in the center of the maelstrom would be the cause.... The kraken. (Shit use that whirlpool icon or make a new one 2x2 entrance.

The giant crab.... A sandstorm in the maeondir dessert.

And theres the other guys. The maps should have sone lesser mobs (prolly a random type map as i havent seen too many random overland dungeons.

This makes it a choice or challenge you can approach or avoid.

Doesnt kills newbs off the bat and adds atmosphere.

Could even be colored continent messages if say yor cartography was up....(the seas appear different, a sriocco has arisen.

And make the water ones move around. Obviously more of these if making the big bosses from anniversary appear. One crystal coin from each isnt all that much. So not an overkill.

Oh, you could go to the desert, youd just see the huge sansstorm entrance. Optional to enter it.
