New Sosarian Cooking Adventures - the EUO novel - avail now!

Post by eggmceye »

My book is now available to purchase !

You can buy it from Smashwords: it is availalbe in epub, pdf, kindle formats.

it is priced at $5 $2.99 :) it took me 6 weeks to write and 3 years to edit. it is about 150p or 39000 words, so it is short but still a decent read. You can read the first 15% for free on the smashwords website to try before you buy sort of thing.

If you are amused by EUO 'lore' then this is as canon as it gets ;)

In a nutshell, it is written from the perspective of Estorrath, EUO's 2nd oldest NPC (Henry is the oldest). The official blurb kinda sums it up:

Estorrath, the greatest wizard in New Sosaria, writes a cookbook, reluctantly receives visitors,
has strange visions, cooks dinner for his ex-girlfriend, hunts down a shadowlord and goes on
one final sacred quest in search of the mythical Lord Eggleton.

It gets surreal at times and there is a bit of crossover between fantasy, ie the game, and reality. Estorrath doesn't know he is just an NPC in a video game but he suspects something is up!

Well if you buy it please recommend it and post your feedback and if you didn't mind it then it would be nice to see a review posted.

I did it!
it's literally Estorrath's Manuscript, my first novel :2cool:
40k words (abt 150-170 pages) of euo fanfic, unedited , unabridged, and totally trash

what sort of sperg lord spends 10+ years writing a video game then writes a novel based on one of its characters LAUGHING OUT LOUD LIKE A MORON

now I can go back to fixing bugs and putting brewing in

the birdwoman (I'm obsessed with birdmen at art school) is a Garuda and I might even put garuda in as a playable race

well, this is literally the first draft which I finished a few days ago. I have a IRL friend who doens't play EUO reading it and critiquing it and providing editing suggestions. I will then probably try and forget abt it for a month or 3, then come back and re-read it and edit it. Then I'll make it available as pdf/epub and probably self-publish maybe a 50 copies in paperback format which I may sell or might just give away, or sell at cost or price of postage, depending on where it is being printed, etc. But that is all in the future and it just has to survive my friend reading it and telling me it isn't terrible. good news is that he said he is enjoying it so far and he also suggested the title.

Awesome book on a character I did not quite expect to get his own novel.

Questions: Will the estorrath book go down in euo history as canon? Also, are you still planning on releasing that euo book compilation?

Did you do the artwork of that eagle-god-thing for the cover?

Yes it's canon, but it's set in euo past and future. I will be updating a few things in game to reflect items in the book.

I am still probably going to compile the existing in-game books into one pdf/epub/paperback - in fact I was just thinking abt it last nite.

The cover is based off a really quick photoshop I did to visualise what a garuda looked like. It's quick because there are quite a few technical flaws with it.

I mean, I'm sure it's a good book, But if it's EUO related... Like, If there was a book on WoW, it's not like people who never play it would buy it.

it's meant to be readable by anyone but there is tons of dumb euo shit in it that probably wouldn't be noticed by anyone else
