Keep it short and to the point. If you write a wall of text I will not read it. The shorter the better.

There is no need for any superfluous text like 'jee what I'd really like to see' or your theories about whatever - post your idea in 10 words or less. Here is a bad example - sorry Rusty:

I could care less about the gold, that's not the issue. The issue is that I don't know what happened. I think that there needs to be a better way for players to give items to each other than by dropping them. Maybe a command like ctrl-t that would let you select an item in your inventory, specify a quantity, and offer it to an adjacent player. Then that player would have to accept the offer with /take or something like that. Keep it simple, no need to develop a trade screen or anything. Just a simple mechanism to securely give items to another player.
All that was needed was:
secure trading between players
I do actually read this thread from time to time when I feel like putting in some random new thing I haven't thought of myself, but I shit you not, if I see more than 4 lines I go straight on to the next post, if not the next page.

Also discussion is ecouraged. If you like or don't like an idea say so and say why. I read all the replies about ideas, especially if they are short. Often the replies are better than the original ideas. So discussion is good, just keep it concise.

I think the main focus of euo development from now on should be to provide entertainment other than just more grinding levels. I think mmorpgs are the weakest and most exploitative of game genre and I'm often ashamed that euo has turned into one (tho when it started the word mmorpg didn't exist - I naively just wanted to make a multi player nethack type game)

here's a brainstormed list of things that could be in euo that are not hunting, I'm not even going to edit or revise it until i have 20 things
* better homes
* a blank map where anyone can build a house or build something
* digging temporary actual mines in a raw unmade map
* having a farm where animals breed and grow
* pet fights
* better support or automated clan wars

well I didn't get to 20 but it's a start

other than that, here are some things that are on the cards:

overall goals:
* cooking & growing plants in yr house
* druids, bards, necros, monks
* enough quests to give you 1/3xp all the way to 60 or 75
* try and wrap up the main quest line

things that need revision:
* pets
* cartog
* the bonus to skills for bloodkin & shadowkin are a bit weird

I like the new fishing system, although the wait time kind of drives me crazy, and wouldn't mind seeing similar things added throughout the game.

More ocean life: Pirate ships that you can board/capture, whirlpools to the Underworld.

Fields: poison, fire, sleep, energy

Disposable thrown weapons: axes, spears, etc. (with appropriate graphic, not just an arrow)

Thrown weapons that return to you: magic axes, boomerangs

Moongates that appear near shrines and take you places based on the current moon configuration.

Some kind of commodities trading system: supply/demand in every town for raw materials (ore, logs, leather, gems, etc)

Mercenaries: high lvl pets for hire

No more zombie dragons outside Minotaur Halls!

If you're still looking to make ingredients for Inscription you could make quests for either the recipes to write certain scrolls or maybe quests where you go bless your quill at certain places with words of power on them.

you can see duoble hit with dual weild weapons. It just looks like your hitting once. (makes you look like your attacking slower)

PD Lotl monthly scoreboard - implementd.
Non PD monthly scoreboard
Extend PD top 10 to top 25 or 50.
Minotaur icons for non pd ladder awards
Dragon icons for Lotl ladder award.
Belt icon for tournament awards.

My suggestion: Multiple Bind/Recall points. Casting the spells will ask for a number (0-9) for where you want to recall to. Default spell will only give you access to 2, more slots would be paid for or gained via subscription.

but religion is cool tho - why wouldn't you want it in euo? my biggest problem with it is how to implement it.

I would like to see a few new item slots. Belt and Bracers(2 in total). Possibly craftable items only!

I'd like to see a challenge type map, monsters spawned according to plyr lvl -
cave(like a lvl 15 map)->through a mine->to a castle(like brownthrone) maybe give gold based on monsters killed/time

game just needs more timekilling -- and a vog revert ;)

On the spells page, Add the initials to cast the spell next to the spell name in ()'s. IE: Chain lightning -> Chain lightning (VOG)

Revise my idea on multiple bind/recalls

How about an 7th Circle Magery Spell...
Gate Travel (Vas Rel Por) - Allows the caster to summon a moongate, allowing travel to various places of power (not necessarily towns, much like how the Ultima 4 gates took you to where the moonstones were). The destination is chosen when after the spell is cast and before the moongate actually comes up. Lasts a short time or until the mage steps through. This would allow the mage's party to step through as well.

Spellcasters should be able to bind spells like IJO, OG, etc, to the ctrl key, so its more easily used.
