Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
Hi Folks, I'm thinking of re-organizing the wiki/manual contents to something like this:
Quick guide/controls/slashcommands/faq (unchanged)
----------------------------------------------------------
General Introduction to game - lift from Euotopia homepage.
The Player character
Race
Classes
Multiclassing
Werewolves & vampires?
Levels and Stats
Statuses
Skills
Combat Skills (include staves here)
Specials
Spells
Crafting & Non-Combat Skills
Crafting list
Pet taming
Healing
Meditation
Item ID
Equipment & Items
Combat Equipment and level reqs
Non Combat equipment? Items?
Crafting equipment
The Player and the game environment
NPC interaction
Combat
Creatures/monsters
Interactive tiles/chests/furniture?
Travel
Terrain types? Ie how they effect travel and crafting?
The Game Environment
Continents
New Sossaria
Maeondir
Apocalyptic Sossaria
Towns (defined as where players can bind? )
List:
Shrines (defined as where players can unres sick and level, etc)
Dungeons (defined as where combat with mobs can occur that aren't continents?)
“Other”
University, Arena, Library etc? Not clear why Library, Underworld, Shack, etc should be considered special. Maybe should be merged into towns/dungeons.
Player housing
Custom
Automated “Trailer”
Player merchant towns/locations
Minigames/locations
Defend the Keep
Capture the Flag
Arena
Scavenger Hunt/Statue Hunt
The player and other players
Talking
Trading
Partying
PVP Combat
Clans
The Player and the game client
All the /commands and explanation of client
Modding the client “game customization
AuxBox Scripts
Quick guide/controls/slashcommands/faq (unchanged)

I'd be glad to help but I don't have access to edit it. If you can send me info on that I'll help.

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
I've just been adding notes at the bottom of pages that are out of date.
So far they include:
Weapon Wear
Daemon summons (taming guide)
Player Housing (added Broden's Keep) are there anymore player housing towns?
Wand of Tranference (Enchanting page)

If you don't have an account to the wiki, I think you need to ask egg for one. Otherwise, just tell me what to add here on the forums and I will do it.

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
I had a new mage guide typed up somewhere. I'll see if I can find it and post it so that you can update it.

I don't know the game 100%, but I know it pretty well, but I'm like Rusty and Grodst, no account.
So if I see something that is not right, I'll post it on here for you.

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
I've added a section on making wooden golems - replacing the section on repairing wooden weapons in the woodcrafting guide. Anyone know the recipe for ebony golems?
Edit: Actually, Rush suggested that the recipe not be placed on the wiki...

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
Here's something that keeps making me confused: how does battleweave and battlehide compare to other leather and cloth tints?
In the Item Materials Manual page (http://swut.net/euo/manual/index.php/Item_Materials) there's this nice chart, but these latest two additions are not mentioned. In fact, the only time battleweave and -hide are mentioned in the manual is in the updates section.
Could someone please add/check/verify this? Because I am wondering what is the difference between battleweave and studded.

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
battleweave and battlehide are the adamantium equivalents of leather and cloth i believe...
not 100% sure because I don't have any nor have I ever used any.

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
BM: that's all very correct.
However, in the chart from the manual page i referenced, there's the following:
metal -- (...) -- leather
(...)
adamantium -- (..) -- studded
If studded is adamantium in leather form, then why do we have battlehide?
See why i think this part needs to be up-dated?

I don't know if anyone knows why. I've ran into other odd combinations like boiled robes, etc.

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
I'm pretty sure there are no boiled robes, as robes are cloth.
Should be like this for the the difference on types;
Leather - Plain, Goldhide, Silverhide, boiled, studded, battlehide (i'm not sure if there's a darkhide, I think there is)
Cloth - Plain, Goldweave, Silverweave, darkweave, battleweave (i don't think there is a copper equivalent in cloth, could be wrong)
metal - plain, gold, silver, blackrock, copper, adamantium
plain - no bonuses
goldweave/goldhide/gold - each piece of equipped item gives you +1 light radius
silverweave/silverhide/silver - each piece of equipped item reduces damage against undead; full suit of silver armour reduces undead damage by 1/2
boiled/copper - each piece of copper gear is lighter than it's standard counterpart - weapons are slightly faster, does less damage, gives less protection
studded/darkweave/blackrock - denser material provides more protection; armour gives 1.2x normal defense rating
battleweave/battlehide/adamantium - extremely rare material, provides highest level of protection; gives 1.5x (I believe) normal def rating
pretty sure that this is right. You can touch it up and make it look a lot nicer and not so short as i put it. and this was mainly just for armours but i'm pretty sure this will translate into weapons as well.
wooden weaps
plain (wood)
silverleaf
ash
ebony
adamantium

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
Studded is not equal to adamantium. I tested them and studded only gives a 30% boost to def where adamantium gives 50%.
There are indeed boiled robes, I had one once. Boiled is the name given to copper cloth and leather.
battleweave and battlehide are adamantium in cloth and leather form.

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
Hmm, seems I was given access to the wiki manual a long long time ago. Damn my ignorance and sloth.
I updated the PD page re: the res stones upon startup statement deleted. I also put a bit into the Current Events about DM events.
Let me know what you think of that.
What else?

Re: Help Bring the Manual Up-To-Date!
Boy, am I glad to see some clarification on this issue. Its hard for a low-level, relatively poor player to select how to best waste his money if the reference per excelence (i.e., the manual) is a tiny tad confusing/unclearRusty76 wrote:Studded is not equal to adamantium.
Thanks guys
PS: and i do know about the thrill of finding stuff out..

Doesn't Blackrock/Darkweave also offer some magic resistance as well?

This must have changed since egg introduced battlehide? I swear it was correct before... then are darkhide and studded equivalents? Or different? Studded in category of their own?
