I learned a nifty trick today on using Microsoft excel to map and make notations on existing maps. I'll copy paste the instructions maybe tuesday as I did it on notepad.
I learned of this technique from a roleplayer
I applied the technique to a colored Ultima III in-game continent map. Works pretty nice. Maybe I'll teach myself hyperlinking.
Been thinking more on html coding and phpbb3 boards. This is probably the closest i can get to coding work without going nutz. Considering i have copied and saved supposedly uncopyable vids from certain sites maybe its something to invest in.
Anyways, I've bought map makers recently but this was a pleasant surprise and for EUO I have made a lot of spreadsheets for towns, quests, items, etc.
Pity I learn of this a bit late as i live in a dead zone. And to date, I don't recall playing the game exactly like an rpg instead of just grinding. Man those early years where i died all the time on reg list in newb dungeon where mimics and reapers could appear and Hydra Isle was accessible.
Anyone else map the game (even on paper?)
