It absolutely would fix diversity, it is a huge let down getting these epic fighter weapons and instantly being shitty because you cant use it to its full potential. RIP every claymore ever. Coolest weapons in the game.

IMHO some sorta claymore should be best weapon in game

Actually there is room for new sword type weapon also:

As there is:
* 2 different "mace type" 2-handed weapons (Lucern hammer + great maul)
* many different "pole type" 2-handed weapons
* 2 different "axe type" 2-handed weapons (2-handed axe + labrys)
* ONLY 1 2-handed "long sword type" weapon (Claymore)

Maybe "Great sword"?

Labrys and 2-handed axe are SO close each others (damage 1d11 and 3d4, speed 2.8 and 2.4).. so almost identical weapons and damage output is pretty bad on both --> Nobody use them. Maybe set labrys to 3d6 or even 2d10 and make it slow --> that would set axes back to business!

Great Sword?

Slightly higher attack speed than claymore, similar damage for higher dps?

I had an entry to a thread where i suggested a reworking and addition to weapons (didn't do research on dps) but in it was Great Sword and Great Axe (eh many rpgs run out of names so great, grand, 2-handed etc). I believe i mirrored Great maul damage. There were filler weapons too but that just means tons more different drops. Some might thing each weapon should have its own unique perk of some kind.

Again, as an Role player i made alts using different combos just for the cool isea and look. Ie paladin in silver armorr and weapons. Barbarian in leathers, buffalo bill the hunter, RockyBalboa, MamaJamma and her fry pan, venom alts, rune alts, etc etc (about the only fail is a captain america so its punch punch shield bash)

What will i do with my Fighter/Rogues and Rogue/Fighters ?

Maybe a subclass for Fighter . loses beserk stance , and gets "the way of sword stance", 15% of counter when attack is dodged and 50/50 str/dex.

so there's the best argument against ... it breaks fighter/rogue
but surely it doesn't break it that hard since aren't all rogue weapons 10/90 now?
and why/how would you be using both a fighter weapon and a rogue weapon at the same time?

i thought its all 25/75 str/dex for rogue, if not they are broken when that got changed, but i played with my lvl 377 Fighter/Rogue on PD with a vamp epee vam and it performed better than with vamp tomahawk +9.

Dex 75 / Str 25 Rogue that uses fighter weapon is already 50% off from optimal. Str 90 / dex 10 make it just additional 15%... I don't say it does not matter... but does it matter that bad?
(for "normal" PVE this 15% destroys diversity totally. As told upper posts ^^. Also makes almost all fighter weapons not worth of looting)

Ofcourse epee do better because foils are 75 DEX and 25 STR
fighter weps are 75 STR and 25 DEX now.

AND: After possible change your Epee do still same damage! (nothing changes on it).... Vamp tomahawk +9 becomes 15% weaker


Both are 75/25 but str and dex swapped

Rogues takes fighter dual class usually because of "Tactics"-skill bonus
And Visa Versa
Fighters takes rogue dual class usually for "traps"-skill and "hide"-skill.

You can also use "dual class" weapon but it is not effective. Or for RP:ing of course.

Tip:
UA Weapons are (and remains?) as 50/50 ratio. You should try it for dual class? It is "only" 25% off to both

You guys keep talking in circles.

I think weapon diversity alone is a big winner here. I think 75/25 would be sufficient. Fighters already have huge HP pools.

As I earlier said 75/25 means 15% nerf to fighters. Anyways I think you still trolling here for because of necro CHEESING nerf so how about :getout:
