Windows 8.1/10 and EUO

Post by Shino »

Has anyone experienced problems with euo on windows 8.1 or 10.
I have tried both of them and same problem, somehow my ctrl and shift keys "stick" when i press them while moving my character, normally you just try to attack/use bind one time when you quickly press the button and release it, with this problem you just keep attacking that direction or spamming binded ability while only keeping some direction button down.. kinda annoying to play as a melee char with this problem.

AND i hope someone of you understands what im trying to say.. :D

I think others have experienced this problem. For me it seems to be an 'alt' thing, for ex: if I press alt then let go and press F4 it will act as if I press both together and close the game.

Do you have sticky keys set? I had similar problems until I turned them off.

windows 10 is what windows 8 should have been. it's the perfect mix of 7 and 8. in this case, 7+8=10.

I have 10, works fine.

I was able to get the sticky ctrl only a couple of times (in about 10 mins of testing) and only with toggle keys checked on ... and only with the 4 arrow keys that are NOT part of the numpad
(windows 8.1)

Good choice! I moved to Linux some years ago and never regretted it (so my newest Windows is XP atm). Though if you want to develop applications that reach a lot of people, that are willing to pay, it has to be Windows still. Smartphone-apps may be even better (I don't have a smartphone and don't want one). Somehow it sucks, but one has to bear in mind the customers' view on things.
