Places & Personalities of Euotopia

Post by Keighn »

Yeah I've been doing some writing lately but now that I'm hitting Newtown and soon Nordhaven I'm going to have to decide on what the people I encounter look like and how they act. I'm also going to need to name regions and shops and other places in euo. Fortunately there is some ground work already done but there's a bit of a blank slate out there. I'm hoping some of the original map makers or players might have a hint to how some of the people look and how they act. Surely not every guard is just a friggin clone (won't be in my story) and not all the merchants are going to be past middle aged balding fat guys in blue butcher suits with a dirty white apron. So to aid me a little I'm going to naturally do some reading of the books in the game already though I don't think too many people will be covered the way I'm imagining. This is where random charts are going to come in handy for me. It might not be exactly what was in the game but ah well. Again, the writing will take some time as I like to think it out a little bit and maybe make an outline. Generally it is all a rough draft and more for my amusement than anything else. Can't grind all the time.

Well, currently I'm compiling a random list for personalities. Then I'll try to get out of Newbie Isle.

I'm going to have to do a lot of rereading. I'll try to keep the story as canon to the game as possible. Many of those npcs might take months to get to considering I'm actually playing the alt as I write, thus the slow progress. Thankfully I have most of the books of the game on pd and I can always quest my lowbies and gain info the quests, NPCs, and dungeon descriptions first. I'm probably going to have to purchase the New Sosarian Cooking Adventures. Fortunately, I'll be doing some work for restaurant owner which will endow me with extra cash. That'll probably start next week and the week after if I'm lucky so much of the writing will be on hold until after that.

This certainly gives a new purpose for me to explore the game more fully.
