Poll: should enchanting be returned to the way it was?

I wouldn't personally like enchanting back, I remember when +8 vamps were more than common and everyone had uber items.

On the other hand almost every single update to EUO has made it harder for newer players. Enchanting was put in, and all the rich players got uber stuff, then it got removed (nerfed), meaning new players are screwed. Other updates that stuffed new players and made old players have unbelievably strong items include the secret, or was it magic, merchant. Which got removed leaving some people with +30 stat items, AI changes, Item nerfs. Infact just about every update to EUO has been a nerf.

I know there is almost no way to even this out, aside from an item wipe, which would just plain piss everyone off. But something needs to be changed otherwise new players will never be able to get good items.

I don't see how it wouldn't be 100% fair.

It's not like it's a complete character wipe. The lvl 500 something people would still be able to run through all of the high level spots, reclinching all of their top uber gear, while the low levels would still be sucking with their +1's and +2's.

Honestly, who cares if there is an item wipe or a character wipe? It's a game. You people will all get over it.

I vote yes and no.

I vote yes because i think enchanting was very helpful, if you needed something, it was just a few moments away provided the skill was there.

I vote no because i don't see why you should have everything you want when you need it. Alot of people, especially the older players, had to work for all of there items.

So to me, it doesn't matter. I would like to see it back because i could always keep the best updated items that i need.

I wouldn't mind having a Full Set of Darkweave Unarmed clothes +3 deffense. But at the same time, there isn't much that i can do.

So i'm about 50/50 on it.

Yes, and i guess the 100's of thousands of coin, hours upon hours of time, and arthritis giving button pressing, the actual +8 item and the vampy LS in the first place is all suddenly forgotten for the end product.

Yes why don't we all start enchanting and get rich now?
