How about redo your stats once a month? Including changing your minimums to 0 (ie. 100 str, 0 dex, 0 int). Or whatever your stat values are. I haven't seen where 0 in a stat can hurt a character much worse than 25 (I've tried via cursed items and disease and got that - value up there quite a ways).

If it's possible I would very much like to buy a premium account if it entitled you to one server patch flag. And I would join without patching only seldomly, I would also have a ready to restore backup of an unpatched client. :afro:

But the changes that are being made are only to increase the value of EUO as a game, maybe one day, karma and virtue status could determine skill caps, or would remove skill restrictions entirely, if you rember, the end of Ultima IV with it's ascention to Avatarhood.

Things id pay 5 bucks for...

- An updated manual, usable in game
- More bind keys for spells
- More content besides grind fest (events, casino, holidays, mini games)
- Balanced dungeons (ie going from one shotting mobs and then turning a corner and getting one shotted by 5 mobs, in which 1 i could not kill alone)
- Integrated VOIP
- /follow command
- ***Create some sort of overarching storyline and content that follows
- Logical progression from zone/dungeon to zone/dungeon
- Customizable UI
- Player merchant tools ( like posting items with a % discount from the default price to make pricing easier and more competitive)

*** - I think this would create a little more fun to the game, i cant imagine mindless killing till L300 only to see the end game more of the same.

Have you looked at the scoreboard? That's all there is really...

You have fun along the way, make some friends, play in parties, share tips, etc. The power gamers have their own motivation.

I really like your suggestions though.

- An updated manual, usable in game Doable with the book stuff - not sure it'd be readable though
- More bind keys for spells
- More content besides grind fest (events, casino, holidays, mini games) LUA has massive potential - just needs someone to really unlock it - I'm basing this on experience a year out of date though
- Balanced dungeons (ie going from one shotting mobs and then turning a corner and getting one shotted by 5 mobs, in which 1 i could not kill alone) This is pure map design. Perhaps you should list examples? Not really something that $5 should buy, its purely a design aesthetic
- Integrated VOIP No idea what this means
- /follow command
- ***Create some sort of overarching storyline and content that follows Been long discussed and long dreamed / drooled over. See the Stones quests (Kyb's or Eggs, canna remember) for something like this. Although more quests would always be good. If this idea isn't current, there was serious discussion for 'proper' Virtue / Anti-Virtue stuff at one point
- Logical progression from zone/dungeon to zone/dungeon Define this?
- Customizable UI It is.. just not in a WoW sense. i.e. you can change the back-drop
- Player merchant tools ( like posting items with a % discount from the default price to make pricing easier and more competitive)

*** - I think this would create a little more fun to the game, i cant imagine mindless killing till L300 only to see the end game more of the same.

Please bear in mind that my comments are years out of date, however: $5 for EUO is a total steal, for the depth / level of support / continued development that has gone into it. EUO *should* be garnering the same love that nethack has had, it really should. Time to kidnap Garriot, I heard he's not doing much since those servers went off. Apart from Space.

I'd pay 5 bucks a month to keep my mage as he is now and not have to choose piety or sorcery...I actually raised my class cap so I could be a Mage/Fighter. I tried the alpha priest thing and I dont really like it. Does this mean Ill have to choose Sorcery and start drinking potions?

PS is there a 'gripe about the new priest class' thread?

Special map with following features:
/bindable res spot
portals to all towns, shrines, and perhaps a few select dungeon entrances.
bank
crafting area
Small player Merchant area for the premium players
A few seperate merchants that have every mundane item purchasable in all current towns.
Better Pawn shop

Potion Shop to purchase every potion type
Reagent shop to purchase every common reagent

Prices would need some work.

How about paying to bump up your pet's level cap by 1? Say your pet is maxed out at 50. Buy some addy coins, then spend them at the special NPC, and *poof*, your pet can now gain more XP towards level 51. Every 10 levels the cost goes up.

Pets are messed up IMHO. Evolution should not = level status. A lvl 50 Daemon is really just a lvl 1 Daemon. A lvl 75 Addy Zorn is really just a lvl 1 Addy Zorn.

Haven't seen anything I would pay for yet -- would like some titties tho

Ideas?

Unlimited access to whitelisted avatars ie certain avatars unavailable, same as buying
/avatar redmage01
poof, you're redmage
/avatar byron
poof, you're byron!
Maybe name changing, would say merchant advertisement but that'd be annoying to see on global

"SO AND SOS MERCHANT IS STILL HERE"
I mean...basically anything that's on the buy list could be used for this but then again that defeats the purpose of a buy list..I'd pay 5 bux a month for open src power!!
