ATTENTION!
Two of our members (who will remain nameless, although I will say that they're friends in real life) have been crossing the line lately. They've been doing so by telling me how the clan should be run.
I'm here to clear some things up.
There will never be a level requirement to join. Your in game level doesn't reflect your abilities as a player, or even more importantly, what kind of person you are. I recruit any mage that wants to join, and whether or not they pass their initiate probation depends on their personality and how easy they've gotten along with me and other members. So to say, I generally only accept cool people.
This is an all mage clan. Priests aren't mages, I hate to break it to you. I'm not cluttering the clan hall with maces or gear that would benefit priests. If you're planning on going priest with your character, that's cool, but MMNS is not for you at that point.
Non tinted staves and/or runed/addled staves are not going to be kept in stock. I have a chest for every tint of staff other than those, because those tints are NOT USEFUL FOR SPELLCASTERS, and the clan hall would be much more useful to members if it was filled with tinted staves. Non tinted staves would sit and rot in a chest, no one would use them. Period. Leeching is not going to get it's own chest, because any tint could be leeching. If you have an ebony crook of leeching, put it in the ebony chest.
The initiate periods last two weeks come October 1st, 2009. Let me go into detail about how things are done in this clan. Any mage can join MMNS as an initiate. They have to sit through a two week probation period before they get promoted to Mystics, but if they mess up ONCE during that period, they're removed from the clan and permanently banned from joining. Any application beyond that point will be denied, and it will be made public knowledge to the rest of the members that those players gave everyone in the clan a good reason not to trust them
I know what I'm doing. So far, there are only two people that have questioned how I've decided to run things, and they're basically the same person (mentally). You're going to have to trust that I know what I'm doing, and if you don't see eye to eye with me, or you don't understand what I'm doing, you'd be better off just going along with it or leaving.
This clan is not about power, it's not about being the best clan. We're not about having high level members that would be useful to us, and hoarding gear/powerleveling and whatnot. My goal for MMNS is to make it useful to it's members, and I know how to do that. Trust me.
I'm here to kick ass, and chew bubblegum. And I'm all out of bubblegum.
