Quality of life improvement for necros: Reduce cooldown and spell duration of HoB. Spell lasts longer than the average fight and is often left in less than ideal areas.

i was thinking about HOB earlier. i agree that it needs to be changed again. I would like to see HOB hit once like XC? and the same cool down. it wouldn't be OP, and would still make the mage necro's still viable. thoughts?? :?

I run a pure necro mage, I don't think its not viable as is. I don't think theyre in a bad place, I just think they just need some tweaks. They could use a slight buff when it comes to soloing, also some of the utility spells are more thematic/ornamental than useful.

Maybe make Ritual Sacrifice a VAM clone if used on an enemy. If it kills you still get the sacrifice HP bonus. Right now the HP bonus isn't worth the effort of carrying a corpse, let alone finding an alter.

Giblets is much stronger than corpse explosion, but summon xp rules make it unusable in a party.

Maybe Corpse explosion make contagious so anything hit in the explosion of another monster has 33% chance to gain the effect.
My other idea was to make the damage by corpse explosion get a bonus to damage based on the monsters max HP. Bigger baddies= Bigger explosions.

Maybe Let Command Death grant 1 sec of invis or damage immunity after res. OR even a pause before you res so you have time to prepare. Right now you mostly just hear the death noise 2x in a row.

HoB gains 10% damage for every monster killed by the spell for the rest of the duration.

Cloudy beverages need a slight buff, or a greater version that can be crafted. The ingredients aren't worth the effort, tho they're a cool idea.

Summons taking experience was recently changed. As long as you get the last hit, you get full experience.

Allow chance to dodge of OG , VOG and spray spells too , just with higher dex needed than VF.

I dont think it will hurt anyone since everyone goes str or int.

In the same vein of skills increasing when you have similar skills. Why not unlock an xp bonus for alts on a server when one has already reached 500.

Well Flash Gordon is more awesome so he'd probably dodge or absorb it. Probably deflect it back and cause explosions.

Thinking Cap needs to be adjusted for +36 stat world.
Instead of +30 int, -10 dex, -10 str it should be +72 int, -36 dex, -36 str.

P.S. Wont work with the Sev item nerf though.

Might not have been Sev, but apparently all the oldschool Magic Merch items are now cosmetic. +10AS only acts as a +9AS, + 156 str only acts as a +36 str, etc.

That sounds like one of sevs bad ideas (they weren't all bad) but did it actually happen .... wouldn't level reqs for huge stats make them unwearable anyway?

Something else interesting to check out when i get home in about 24hrs

Seph say his +42 str item still acts as a +42, so maybe I'm wrong. Can't remember who told me this when I was griping about the DM pet nerf, but since I dont have any old magic merch items i cant test it out.
