I take no responsibility for what's in this list. Nor am I making any promises nor making any comment as to priority of what may or may not be developed in EUO next, contrary to what the list may or not say. This is strictly for your amusement. Some of the stuff on this list has been on for 7+ years.



rake:

use on ground to gather seeds
use mortar and pestle to turn seeds->flour

more house mods:

make mod so that anyone can chg colour of their wall/window if adjacent to their hook

what is this crap?

7 key bind?
crash on cast m on death? chk core
bb still crashing on death (pd?)
euo client not exiting properly when told to patch

broad goals

herding
revise tinkering, alchemy, pets
more artifacts
druids necros bards
euo main story line
minibosses at dungeon ends and culdesacs
make collapsed mines like dungeon keeper (with tinkering for locks and traps and levers)
more random dungs

instances

when leave party but not game who should own maps? you still or should be transferred?
perm spawn quest targs not spawning
summons aren't levelled (but summoners int is so might summon better stuff anyway)

- IFM needs fov update after cming out of stone form

recipe req
- orcasaurus burger
- dont show item in make list unless know recipe - optional recipe req
- recipe could just be an item or something learned

must do

vm heal 50% when bleeding
maybe pots 50% effective too?

make treasure holes unload when treasure looted and hole vacated
sleep needs to me more resistable

um/vum need to be ranged, and prot too - but then can't target self
add dm av off toggle for recording
follow - the av flashes a bit -

wheat+mill->flour - FARM MACHINES
olives+press->oil - FARM MACHINES
lava should be fire dmg - but resistances are not coded in send_dmg

healing ward should be in party or flagged summons?

corpser should be on hit spell
brownthorn too hard considering the lvl of everything else in that map
(also how does he set bleeding?)

rogues

revise ranged specs
make spray pray default ranged special - can't easily! because 'special move' is directional
make a low rage high skill spec that does dmg to mob that is blind (gouged) - ie combos

latest ideas

when fire golem thunderclaps it sets fire to the 8 squares around it for a fire dot
dual wield staves for troll mages - some bonus

workshop vamp restoring hp on monster death according to dmg dealt
allow houses to be dual account? use with strictness

make lua specials work for mob (c++ ones done)
shield bash that knocksback target
with a bit of lag u can bounce in your own charge and u can end up ontop of mob

item not scattering under a corpse
orb should give buff id of the orb to_mod (req converting items however)
ench: a buff that gives you just red shrads or just blue
make grap hook a rare drop?
the class quests could do with y/n confirms

more rare spawns, akyla's mini bosses

pet bloat / revision

pet inventory
all pets lvl to 50 - make imp evolve to devil to demon but stop lvling at 50?
casting stance
healing stance
pet wearing stuff like rings/collars
let pets / party kill stuff for you for quests - including scripted 4 minos quest
pet pokeballs - like corpses? collecting pets (can't save individual pets stats tho)
feeding pet has same effects has player eating (eg metal food)

unsorted new ideas / changes

custom player races - or monster races such as undead, orc, goblin, hellspawn - mostly cosmetic however
a npc in bucc den that sells treasure maps
add some guard kill tgt quest to monastery
when remort need to set mana max and hp max, and properly chk lvl up
targeted drops for new chars
monsters attacking during map transfer - may be improved
add a random newbie cave
after send msg set that guy as the next ctrl-r destination
necro - bone armour
glass armour
only drop tomes if u have skill pts in the req skill - and make them soulbound
add owner-id to buff so if u DoT a mob u get credit for the dmg done
nos & astaroth? artifacts
when go wolf dont uneq - just nullify their effects
alt wolf / poly - auto re-equip what was unequip when morphed
add colours to books
pd ghost should carry the gold, not drop on ground
when use + glass weapion, dont break it but remove -1 frm the enchant, and break a +0
maybe lvl mage summons but this is unique to priests atm
scrap def from tactics, chg as gain from tactics to a %

convos: don't match partially - word in sentence must be bracketed by space, comma, fullstop, hyphen, newline

need a function to count an item that includes banked, cursed, blessed, etc - use for checking invs for ships, stones, tomes etc

when those random npcs with scripted convos unload the convos need to be unloaded too - good fix would be to make conversation sets, and give those sandy valley npcs that set of words (kinda like morrowind)

prespawing: respawn more again - not for when plyr enters game - but this may not have been the cause of that spot of lag ...


tinkering / alch

scrap seive - or find other uses for it
tinkering needs to me more useful other than support for alch and making tools
consumables such as bullets, probes, lockpicks are good
- traps
- bombs
- wearable - goggles? (req lens, leather) - nv goggles
- parts for later recipes: bolts, spring, blasting powder,
- artifact ring or necklace that req rare recipe
- mirrored shades - resistance from aep
- fishing lures


mouse:

do spell binds with clicking
click drag mini map scrolls it

key 2 joy mods

attack targeted with meleee with ctrl-a
allow up+left to emulate keybad 7 etc - too hard, use too many buffered key presses !

crafting bloat

mat skill% + should be soft config or in mats file
steel skill % should be less than BR
bone, thorium, mithril
flying carpet for 100 tailor
need something awesome for 100 smith and 100 armouer
possibly add mini artifacts to all non commodity crafts
jewelcrafting - make rings, necklaces, gem cutting etc
zombie golem for alchemists
poly pile hybrid mine/rustys - but dont bother until fix my poly weps

allow selectable batching (eg of pots) that makes them just as fast but doesnt bump skill just as fast
(low pri since if skill is high then craft speed is fast)

making housing more attractive

- store pets in house - not just wander
- rand dungs only from yr house

more polish to put off

give emerging underworld text
selectable titles
moving items around in inv like with 'v' but for other modes and for pmerhcs
improved party stats pane
make ctrl-click on door or chest bash
use mode: needs to work with mouse

admin todo

unused quest id: 2f, 33,34,3e, 4e, 9a, 9c, 9d, 9e, 9f

change yr mimic code - or scrolls with code embedded in it - eg bookshelf

armoury additions

full player title - quite tricky - needs a fancy mod to make the server write the title to the database or plyr file as req lua to make the title

fav map
collected ears
item stats popups
search for similar items
search for items for my lvl xxx <class> - eg my lvl 32 rogue

changes, tweaks & improvements

trivial

group items in size up so it all fits in one window
rename grendel to something more minotaury, make beefy, needs better reward :/
merch default & fail replys talk in colour
ship in a bottle tile
need more armourers around towns
when owner exists phase anomoly the portal closes (or when the owner enters the portal it closes)

not so trivial

pvp def gets too high
allow bucket on fountain
consider quest xp scaling to yr lvl
pet that is staying should not stay put on a feat blocking sent tile - it should step off
min quest levels
reduced xp for quests on pd (ie a diff rate, maybe just 3x xp)
email av scrolls on pd to chars that died
player merch - save file by level, then you can unload them - MAYBE UNLOADING ANYWAY?
monsters still attacking at login & chng map & during map xfer
wolf speak
redo trainers to be more client side like ability
trainers abilities scroller should show class
diff spawn weights for diff multi classes
have a standard feature: if mob steps on teleporter or portal (not tp) or trapdoor he gets teleported!
if client side av is flying dont play step sounds
limit class or class cap command (so you dont have to limit all skills in a class)
create account link inside euo create pages somewhere
cursed tools should have some weird effect
treasure in holes must be owner bound so cant be stolen

waypoints: option to make mob cycle thru them or just progress along them once - maybe patrol mode will not delete waypoints

client usability improvements

view list - sort list by weight - individual and stack
get x key for sextant working again (redundant if do full key binding)
drop readied weapon - dont need to unready
move items up and down when filtered
show soft buffs EVEN better on client
when use but not have item, don't require use-cooloff

client tweaks

update patcher so that it launches correct client (ie moagl or euo.exe)
correct step event sounds for mounts
client side ranged sfx / bullets for specials

minimap: for random maps (ie not player towns) if crc changes reset minimap on enter – so server needs to tell the client to do this – that the map is a random one ...

ships:

softcoded ship speed
different numbers of guns on ship, therefore diff amt of dmg
upgradable ships (guns, sails, etc)
different ship types, sloop, frigate - different numbers of passengers
naming your ship

large design mods that need thought

no spell failure: so at 12.5% can cast circle 1. at 100% cast circle 8. Needs revision of the circles and the bump rates.
none or limited items sent in FOV

don't bother

drop quest items in house w/o breaking anything - NO because quest items shouldn't be kept

additions, more ideas and bloat

monks: expand meditation; adds combat bonuses for high level med, maybe teleport ability at 100 monks: med, passive regen/med, awareness of surroundings when medding (high skill req)

cartog: rusty's way of getting there other than the X' Y" randomised thing of mine from uo - maybe
item descriptions in stats window

str buff for priests
load buff for mages
righteous fury buff to cast on friendlies - makes them deal 2x threat
relics that can be saved to a guild hall and provide all clan members that bonus
lua bot chat - server support done, just need a good bot
do a random forest map in maeondir called forest lodge
merchant that does ID-all
merch search with slash command - requires merch inv in sql
merch search via npc in merch towns who acts a bit like a guide
add the pegasus in
item info in stats pane of client, req small item summaries
more barriers
random quests - bit like treasure hunting, from an npc, maybe with a random map
finish ingame email
shield or something that blocks magic ...
add death func lua hook to mob dying of old age (probably a new hook)
status immunity magic effect (eg immunity to disease) or variable resistance
individual merch hours
being in bed should aid you some how
monster crits
review & expand polypile, polypile weps: review - same material only, review polypile armour, jewelry
redo music - ie what map uses what music
level up effect
death music
winds
balloon - req winds maybe
make new use type - use_inv (for uncurse & id)

dual lamp tiles, one for lit and one for not - street lamps should be client side furniture rather than a maptile with a fov item
items that can be trained or get better - possible enchantment type. Very applicable to wizard's staffs
spiked collar decapitation protection? (need to add decap first!)

special recall method for guilds

trap expansion: traps on doors, set traps with trapkits
item (eg potion) throwing
enchant that enhances defense from a skill
enchant slayer that does dbl dmg against a class (eg dragon slayer)

skill enhancing enchant/artifact (1/2 done)
dragon form special casts VF (PROBABLY NOT)

improved client crc checker (send random string and enc that with client crc - maybe use old unix passwd formula?)
book of dead + way to feed undead (for undead taming - necro?)
ingame viewable world map (+quest)
bracer for UA block

expand wand xferrance further
coloured status letters or icons
more colourisation of messages (like stone soup crawl)

mobs should have customisable chase sight bonus, not hardcoded 5 - at least put the 5 in server.cfg
gm alts command
DM command to join any clan
generic chat channels
limit of chars per account (req mysql accounts)
dynamic 2d arrays for svmap
redo player:: known names and ignored players as sets rather than vectors

Bone, Thorium and MITHRIL? As in mithril WEAPONS ? :D or just re-doing how it works ? New classes sound great.
