This thread and the other 2 on maeondir were in a extra secret forum which I used for organising help (ie bossing players around). Now that it's live that secret forum is now deleted and these 3 threads are moved to friends of euo forum for posterity.

I feel this is the final layout!

Maeondir mapsets:

continent
the fair lands of maeondir - mini continent

towns
* just one, name to be determined, but just a standard town with standard facilities - not made

shrines
* 3 new shrines with alternate level up function. functions yet to be determined but I have a fair idea. Maps are not made, but easily done.

huts
* two huts: one will have a good NPC, the other is a hunting area. I roped Linda in to making them, and they are done :cool2:

castles
* castle farimond - good npcs here, no mobs, dungeon underneath
* castle brownthorne - dungeon full of fighting areas, barely started

dungeons
* tyler's city of shadows - done, tho uses old mobs, but is of high difficulty
* lvl222 - this was a show case of lua scripting. I really bit of more than I could chew with this. It is a huge dungeon of square rooms mostly and lots of levers and tricks. The .map is complete but none of the scripting
* swamptown - done - a random swamp town, but pretty boring
* connecting dungeon - another huge random cave with lava, using new lua scripting technology to help with the randomness - it is basically done, but needs spawning.
* fire mountain - 20% done - will have more fire nasties + pheonix at or towards the end
* sword golem tower, not made
* anathema (ty)
* blood moor (ty)
* another cave (ty)
* another dungeon, not started

Although unfinished, here is what i have started:

Tristran - Diablo style maps, have it set for norm,nightmare,hell modes through portals, givinge the player range
basically level 5-1000
placement: Any town looking tile around the cont

LOTR maps - Another ripoffy set of maps completely unspawned was aiming lvl 40-150.
Placement: Ideally a quest item like a book that u would use and would warp you to The Shire.

Anathema - big 6 map long area for player ranges 40 and up to hard shit.
Placement: Southeast of the Sword Golem Tower in the middle of the water, needs 1 castle tile + 1 bridge leading
nowhere above it, as its a town long cursed and seperated from the world.

Blood Lair - elaborate 6 or so maps long (when completed) for player level 100-1000. Aim for this map was to
require 3-6 person high lvl parties to complete or even hunt in it, blood queen at the end.
Placement: Somewhere in the mountainy area southern part of the island, since it seems like the harder area.

Passage - 100x100 map built for that underground passage in maeondir area, didnt name it.
Placement: Underground passage area in southern mountains would work.

City of Shadows -Newer version that the one i sent you egg, little bigger and took out errors and most lvl 15 chests.
Placement: Done

ok check the map for latest design updates. Hunting areas are in red, towns in blue, shrines in green. Looking like 9 hunting areas! Can definitely squeeze in 3 more:
i) in mt range immediately south of town
ii) in mt range south of farimond, east of hut
iii) in east coast mounts north of shrine #1

I'll think more abt it later, work is really calling :o

finished my puzzle map (lvl 222), not spawned

done draft layout of fire mt, not spawned


these are 2 maps that have been hanging around for months like a bad smell
