Here's a bunch of tiles I'd like to replace to be clear of any copyright worries ...

If anyone can be bothered modding them to make them less -'lifted' - here's some advice:

* the stuff from u5/u4 could probably just be enhanced
* the ones from u6 probably need to be enhanced a lot or just redone completely
* the reags from uo have to be redone entirely

btw this isn't a request "please make my tiles :cry:" - it's more like a note to self, and, if you WANT to make tiles (eg crusher & keighn seem into it) then here's some to think about.

now that dransik is dead I'm considering emailing them and asking for permission to use their tiles ^.^ can't see it happening tho

And after looking at their tiles, they totally just recoloured ultima 5's tiles and got away with it, so I'm doing the same.

aw you can't change the shadowlord :(

about the land tiles, do you still want the mostly black style or solid color?

just tidy and up recolour them, so add shading etc

land: really only mountains and forest that needs redoing so they should be in keeping with the rest of the black based tile set.

HOT DAMN! You have the lighthouse up there. Maybe I should post my recolored lighthouse that changes light position (warning - the full version takes 8 tiles while the short takes 4). I should touch up a little though there's a couple positions that look almost the same.

I created a new tileset for the crennelations. I used the normal brick wall as a starting point so these tiles will merge seamlessly with the regular wall tiles :)

nav, I think the wall is too thin. Rusty, yours is not bad but I need to think about it some more. Keighn, the lighthouse can't be animated - has to be one frame.

I messed around also with Merchants, but came up with little wierd results... one being diff colors, and others are much different:

I've already done it, but thx for effort. Tiles have to be 16x16 anyway.
