My only problem with that is you couldn’t play them. It’s not like a violin and a V-bow (violin bow). Going to strum those with a weapon? Imo, the instrument has to be the weapon so launching magical tunes of force, radial songs, and constant playing. A radial constant song attack sounds nifty but might be OP.

Ie... say felmythic adamantium lyre+10 playing Dirty Harry’s Racket Smack -

1st octave (or pitch fuck if I know) (2.5 mana second)
Core damage in a 1 square radius is 1-3 dmg
Core damage in a 2 square radius is 1 dmg
Core damage in a 3 square radius is 0 dmg

2nd octave (or pitch fuck if I know) (5 mana a second)
Core damage in a 1 square radius is 1-4 dmg
Core damage in a 2 square radius is 1-2 dmg
Core damage in a 3 square radius is 1 dmg

3rd octave (or pitch fuck if I know) (10 mana a second)
Core damage in a 1 square radius is 1-7 dmg
Core damage in a 2 square radius is 1-4 dmg
Core damage in a 3 square radius is 1-2dmg

Well... just a +10 would bump that on the low end to 11-13 a second.

While playing might be suggested mana diesn’t Restore... dunno.

An attack note like Buck’s tail lickin would be like a spell hitting a target using mana instantly.

But hell, shielding music, anti magic music, rage music (function like a half orc on runed), bleeding ears barbed, etc... healing tune...

Whole new archer class would be awesome with some tweaks from current ranged skill, maybe add own skills to bows, crossbows and muskets.

Snipe, high damage single target skill for musket
"Insert skill name here" slightly higher damage and bleed skill for crossbow
Multishot with 3-4 targets hit at once skill for bows.

I was out walking thinking on the old mini mine maps ( collapsable mines) and I thought of a few ideas similar. So, like random monsters random terrain squares you can gather.

Grove of trees, swamp, desert, etc. They would be mini-maps of random terrain (the largest % being that which you are on (ie the forest would be a majority of forest with some possibility of brush, grass meadow, hills, mountain stream, maybe swamp)

Collapsable mines could come back esp with a command like /collapse to get rid of the mine. Maybe take away instant death from cave in.

Still need more random geomorphs with ruins, outposts, etc.

Probably should avoid maps in maps like the weird dimension mobs that pop up the red portal in their. And random terrain gathering gates inside one of the gathering maps.

omfg. yes, yes, and fucking yes some more. the best idea i've heard of in a long ass time.

no one really uses banks that often either (i don't anyway) so anything and everything mined/chopped could go directly into the bank which you can retrieve whenever.

Add in Shift Alt F2 to use all level ups at once on PD. After a good grinding session its annoying to do 20+ levels.

Reset the PD leaderboard, or move the 1ks to like an honorary list at the bottom. Most of the guys on the board have been in the same positions for literal years. The leaderboard is alot of motivation to grind it out!

Give half trolls 10% more attack speed than what they have. They would be alot more common if they had a slight increase in power. One handed weapons just dont scale half as well as two handed (fighters) and with that slight attack speed edge on the other classes it could become comparable to the other classes. Especially with the bonuses the other races have in comparison, half trolls are lackluster. :-S

I swear I still read some bitching about the 90/10 fighter weapons.

Just make barbarian/beserker sub-class and stick it with 75/25.
No 2-hand weapons
Can wield 1-weapon each hand (trolls get a speed bonus)
No shields
Medium armor and less they utilize efficiently
Gain rage faster
Some sort of barbarian blood lust strike
Maybe riposte strike /parry with 2nd weapon
Dodges

If need be a few barbarian mana skills.
There no more fighter bitching. And we can play Conan (yeah bitchat the no shields and no 2-handers... gnome barbarian).
Let them have ???? and tank stance. (Unless you call it blood rage stance for something new...

half trolls are plenty strong as is, you ever tried to kill a 6k hp troll with a regen belt and xj/aep? though the troll regen should probably overcome sun... seems silly that it doesn't.

giving race specific classes will be to much work (like a lot) >.> may as well just give a 10% attack speed boost.
*(which they already have btw)

though while im here, what happened to buffing pets? at 450+ (pd) 300+(reg) they don't contribute.. :/

2 to all stats per level could work.. (int/str/dex) and remove the pet lvl cap? just seems silly to have a trophy pet. if you reduce the exp taken from the player to 10-15% after 100 and remove the lvl cap it'd even be an achievement to get the pet very high, worth the sweat and tears ya know?
