4.5 hrs into day 5
- random vault done
- caves done (that was just lifted from euo tho)
- weapons + armour done
- many items done

next cab of the rank: probably the subway level but I am wondering if I should bother. I have 3 mapthemes but would like 5 I think.

todo:
today (couple of hours left): anything useful but I am tired as hell and over it and back is sore
fri: finish all mapsets - must be done by fri as I need good chunk of time to do classes+abilities
sat: loot, classes + abilities
sun: sound, testing


my prediction is that game will be somewhat cute but either too easy or too hard, since balancing takes ages and there is no time at all for that! (do that after the competition ends)

As a Graphic Designer, I always appreciate how tough creating the little things can be. Both you and Egg have done a great job quickly crankin' out tight tiles.

Having grown up with computers since the Jurassic days when 16 colors ruled the world and 256 colors was Mana from Heaven, I've seen how working at the pixel level is becoming a lost art. Most 3D shoot 'em ups are moving so fast that you don't have to be frugal with space or worry about that level of quality; all that matters is decent brushmaps, a good 3D engine and great effects.

You should definitely keep it up...

Just about the end of day 5.5 - 1am nearly, 1.5 days to go. Mapsets finalised, randomised pills done, but not really tested, done basic loot, 5 foods, weapons, armour. Not sure how to swing enchants. Would like to do random artefacts if I get time, or maybe just softcode some EUO style.

Tomorrow I'm designing classes, abilities and racials. Sound too, tho I've started that. Oh yeh I gotta work out how the ending is going to work.

I used the pill that puts a target to sleep on myself, and it would appear the timer stays stuck at (10).

I kicked the games butt though, made it to the outside world :P

Yeah, timer is iffy. when using bandages, it's not a timer, you have to move to get it to count down. every step is -1 of 10. and your dex is like 1k. super fast. :D

I like it, but died. it made me sad.
