the merchs stay where they are - just that they teach you the spell instead of you buying a tome

Small bug:

Lotl chars can't pick up chest loot :/

Chest loot is a big part of Lotl's survivability. Its also the only way to find crafting tools etc! :P

From testing [level 28 char, RIP :( ]

Quests - work the same, you just don't get any XP from them. i.e. you get all items / rewards. I don't know anything about Maeonir, but I presume you can still do the stones quests to get over there.

No buying from merchants, barring spell trainers

University - not tested (too poor!) but I assume you can train skills

I've not explored Maeonir (bad spelling), however, the black stone quest requires a silver-leaf crook to complete. Obviously, for LotL chars, this is going to be a 1,000,000 - 1 chance.

Suggestions:

Any silver leaf items [since I found a +2 silver leaf staff, so :P ] or some other random selection of stuff.

Or, since I read nasty rumours of XP :cheese: going on in this strange new continent, let LotL not go there ;)

Yeah its tough, but I think that should merit the challenge to get to maeondir. Wolf quest however is impossible to do for LOTL as you need the file. So I guess DON'T GET BIT.

I myself will probably play hard ball and leave newb isle and never go to town or talk to anyone again. Might even pull up the EGO rules (obviously i won't be playing mage/priest but a harder class).

You've mentioned this "EGO" thing before - can you explain it please? ;)

[I'm assuming its no townes / no NPCs etc - if so, that's ok if spell tomes dropped, but it appears that they no longer do, at all]

Yes, I have decided to start a different clan that has a different way of playing. If you're interested in finding uber items and powerleveling to the high end of the scoreboard then don't even bother applying for membership. Also, if you're looking for a clan to win a clanhall, forget it; we are so strict that that doesn't even come into the picture. What do we offer; bragging rights for not being some pimped out bitches or lazy powerleveled newbs. We're taking the odd against us and pushing through the blood, the gore, the pain and suffering, and using pure will to fight our battles. You can call us stupid, crazy, foolish or w/e; but at least we have the balls to attempt the feat while you're just hollow vestiges of a world of power gaming, begging, whiny, snivelling, well.... wimps.

Note: While it says I'm clanleader, I only am so as to form the group. At any point any of us can take on the soapbox. It just might be more convenient for me to be leader as this is my only style of play on EUO from now on.

GENERAL RULES OF PLAY:
1. NO CHARITY (You offer us something and you just as well shove it where the sun don't shine. We don't want it).
2. NO PREMIUM ACCOUNT USAGE (If you bought one on another alt, forget about using it on this one).
3. NO GUILD HALLS (We'll never have one so get used to it).
4. NO HOUSE USAGE (You can't use it on this alt. This goes for Addy coins, hearthstones, and other boons).
5. NO AVATARS (Don't bother buying an avatar for this alt).
6. NO HORSE USAGE (Assuming you hit lvl 50, don't bother trying to get one. Mounts are a huge NO NO).
7. NO KPY, KOP, TOWN PORTAL USAGE (You crawl into some godly hell hole, you better learn to climb your ass back out).
8. NO BUYING FROM PLAYER MERCHANTS (Nope, None at all. This also goes for NPC merchants selling magical items like Pawn Shop and others).
9. NO QUESTS UNTIL LEVEL 150 (Assuming you can bother to last this long playing this way that's gonna be a feat).
10. YOU CAN ENTER TOURNAMENTS (But don't expect to take home the prizes from donations. You're there to win and that's all).
11. MUST BE PVP UPON LVL 10 (Sure, go and kill us with your panzy assed levels and items, we know we're better than you).
12. NO NEWBIE ISLAND (This is the only Town Portal you'll ever get to use. Pass PANSIE Play and GO Straight to NORD. Ie. NO skills from MAX).
13. All Races are allowed.
14. THE 125% CAP (Generally this is a human concern. Pure classes cannot put 25% into another class. Immediately /limitskill class skills you might forget about like unarmed and traps).
15. VERSATILITY SHRINE (generally not a concern as getting to Maeondir takes a quest or Town Portal. Still, pure class can't use the shrine).
16. ABOUT SPECIAL CLASSES (Clerics, Spellswords, Paladins, and other new classes will have to figure out how much fighter/mage/rogue skills they want to put into their various allotments. If you're another race, this is going to be really hard as even lvl 150 won't mean much as you can't use versatility anyways).
17. NO PETS (None at all).
18. Player Merchant Allowed at Level 50 (Can only sell mundane Items at default price).

NOTE: Until I can cover all aspects that I may have forgotten go to individual Class Rules.

These will probably need some tweaking but eventually the bugs will be sorted out. Comments welcome as we're egotistical and don't care what you think. :P

EDIT - Didn't notice I had EGG (group) instead of order. True, we were going to name it EGG, but that seemed a tad too cheesy. EGO fits better.

Don't see why this should be a problem... you can find hammers and picks from drops - just work up mining/woodcrafting and make your own silverleaf crook.

Anyway, silverleaf crook is the last requirement after a whole bunch of other quests so this wouldn't solve it. Maeondir looks like it's out of bounds for LOTL. Unless you jump in someone else's portal and bind there. Or if its server enforced LOTL and you wanted access to Maeondir you'd have to give everyone a black stone (or make it a drop?).

I've not seen a miner's pick or pen knife drop yet - I know pen knives do, however, as well as axes, but I've a sneaky suspicion that you won't be able to get ore for tints. Then you face the issue that if you break a tool, you're royally buggered until you find another one!

[This might be related to the Izumi Goblin quest that no longer drops mining picks, it may not. They may still drop.]

Suggestions (if its worth the effort):

Add basic crafting stuff to chest loot - raw materials such as cloth / golem repair kits already are.

IF Lotl = true, then item = no break. [This might have :cheese:ability, however, its only PD]

These would be the least work, I assume (??)

Well, I've just found 2 hammers, 1 pocket knife and 1 pick... but that was from about an hours worth of grinding dragons on reg. Might be different on PD. Wouldn't hurt increasing the drop rate though. Not sure about the tint question, but you don't actually need tinted ore or ingots to make tinted pocket knives. (weird, I know).

Personally I think pocket knives should be moved from Weapon smithing to the tinkering skill set. You can't use them as a weapon so...

Tool breakage would be an issue until you can make your own tools with tinkering (I think hammers, pocket knives, and just recently I think mining pick are craftable as well.) You wouldn't need much skill - 10% tink for mining pick, 30% tink for smithing hammers. The only tools tinkering can't make is more tinker kits. :(

Important LOTL change/clarifcation/bug fix:

LOTL chars are not meant to be able to pick up other lotl's stuff, even when in a party. This was a bug, it's getting fixed right now.

not changed but aware of and probably won't change:
LOTL chars can party and share xp
LOTL chars can get buffed
LOTL chars can have their stuff uncursed and id'd by priests
LOTL chars can receieve heimlich's

Wow  ....This sounds FREAKING AMAZING  ! Hard as all-get-out! But, amazing none-the-less. :D 9,000,000 MAN POINTS for taking the time and the creativity to do this. I hope to be apart of this :? ?!!?!

All in all, Great work!
